Great sounding buds! Jan 15, 2009 By ... "Johnny7"
I picked up these buds at a store a couple wks. ago after losing the stock set that came with my Sansa Fuze player. I thought the stock set were adequate (though definitely replaceable) but these sound so much better that I'm reconsidering whether to order one of the $20 to $30 pair I've seen listed on Amazon.

They offer comparatively good mid range and high end sound. What they don't offer is a deep, thumping bass but they do play at a high volume while retaining low distortion. (e.g., Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" is well rendered through these buds cranked out by my 4GB Fuze -- EXCELLENT player!)

As for fit, they stay in my ears fine (as well as the Sansa set did) but there are no extra pads included to better adjust the fit. These are not sound isolating buds but I prefer that as I like to hear ambient sounds while out on walks, negotiating traffic.

The build quality seems pretty good, too. One thing missing from these buds is the L shape on the jack. It's just a straight-on design but I take care whenever inserting or removing the jack to prolong its life.

All in all a pretty nice surprise and well worth the $9 I paid for them. Oh, and the blue color looks cool, too.

I bought these to replace my old purple Gum earbuds, which I bought more than a year ago and which served me well until I accidentally stepped on them.

They must have changed the design since I bought my first pair, because these earbuds refuse to stay in my ears unless I'm sitting still. I never had this problem with the old ones, which I used while jogging with no issues. Although these ones are marked R and L, there is very little differentiation between the two buds, which is probably the reason they won't stay in. With the old ones, it was very easy to tell which one was which even after the letters rubbed off.

The sound quality is fine. These are good for sitting at your computer, but useless if you want to walk or run with them in.

I'm disappointed, I don't think I'm going to find another option this cheap. Bring back the old design!!!

UPDATE: Less than two months after I bought them, one of the earbuds stopped working. Also, I was mistaken about the earbuds I purchased before. That brand, which I highly recommend, was Gumy. Just went out and got a pair of Gumys for $10 bucks and I anticipate them lasting me a year or two. Don't buy these ones, get Gumys.

These earphones are extremely uncomfortable. After wearing them for about 30 min to an hour, I had to take them off or rotate them so that they are not covering my ear. Eventually they broke within the month that I purchased them. They were a waste of money, and now I need new earphones.

these work perfectly with my iPod. not the best but I only paid five bucks or so, so I'm not complaining. Sound is about the same with the iPod ear buds. Not the most comfortable but then no ear buds really are. The cord is really long, not sure if that is a plus or minus.

It's more like a lime green than green. The earbuds are slightly big but still fits. There is a bit of noise sometimes.
