We bought this because we didn't want to go wifi in our house, but still wanted to put the wii online to download games. We bought this and a 50' cable. Plugged it in and within a few minutes we were online with the wii. It's like plugging the wii right into your router.

This puppy is ugly but who cares as it sits in the back with all that other ugly stuff.
The best part about this thing is the price, under 11 bucks.

I purchased the USB LAN Adapter for my Wii so I could get a more stable connection for Netflix streaming. My router is located upstairs in the farthest room away from the Wii, so I had problems losing the connection while streaming Netflix shows. This adapter was the cheapest one on Amazon at the time I purchased it, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I haven't been disappointed. The setup is fairly painless, you just plug it in and change the connection settings in the Wii menu to Wired. After that, I had no problems with the buffering of my Netflix shows to the Wii. I would highly recommend this product.

This is a very good product and works well. I wanted to hard wire my Wii instead of running wireless and this product did the trick.
