Very effective and simple to use. Jun 09, 2008
By Mystro Very simple yet very effective. I am using the product to shield my gas tank because of a new dual exhaust setup that runs close to the tank. The product can be cut with scissors and sticks very well.

Great stuff Oct 09, 2010
By Boris I used this as a heat barrier between the exhaust pipe and the plastic side panels on my Polaris Sportsman ATV. The original heat shield tape was very thin and I was almost burning my leg on the hot plastic. After removing the thin OEM heat tape and applying this thick stuff, there is barely any heat coming thru. The adhesive is VERY sticky so I don't see it coming off for a LONG time.

THIS IS GOOD STUFF Dec 24, 2009
By Alan T. Yokota USED THIS MATERIAL ON A HOME MADE, CUSTOM COLD AIR INTAKE BOX FOR MY '92 TOYOTA, 4X4, PICK UP TRUCK (TRUCK HAS A 2005 CHEVY BLAZER 4.3 VORTEC ENGINE, SO I WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND AN AFTERMARKET COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM THAT FIT MY APPLICATION). FABRICATED AN ALUM BOX TO SHIELD THE K&N AIR FILTER FROM THE HOT AIR TRAPPED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, AND COMING FROM THE RADIATOR AND ELECTRIC FAN. USED THE THERMO-TEC ADHESIVE BACKED HEAT BARRIER AND WRAPPED THE ALUM BOX WITH GREAT EFFECT. INCREASED FUEL MILEAGE AROUND 14%. COULD ALSO FEEL AN INCREASE IN POWER. WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE USE OF THIS MATERIAL, WORKS AS ADVERTISED!

Convenient and Cost Effective Aug 03, 2011
By Logan I used this to replace a heat shield for my firewall directly behind my engine. It worked great for what I needed. I wrapped it around a piece of the old heat shield and to give it extra adhesive strength around the corners I used an epoxy. The epoxy was only necessary because it was wrapped around the edges of the old heat shield piece and if I hadn't done that, it would have done just fine with it's own adhesive backing. Great Product!

Works great Oct 29, 2010
By Kenny So I bought an AFE intake which included a powder coated shield and cone filter, which replaced my air box and filter. Since it's pretty well sealed, but to help cool down the intake, I carefully cut up and stuck the Thermo Tec to the sides which faced the Engine and the radiator. Works well... Considering wrapping this or something else on the Intake hose which comes close to my hot valve covers and heats up a lot.
