5AN EXCELLNT GAUGE -- exactly what I hoped for...  Jun 23, 2007 By D. Borough "thumper300zx.com"
Oddly, one review here posted a complaint about the gauge arriving with only 15 psi MAX on the gauge. Reading that actually made my decision more firm because the ball with the highest recommended PSI that I own (an Adidas thermal bonded TEAMGEIST BALL) calls for 11.6 - 14.5 (never have seen a ball that called for more).

More accuracy (better eye-balling) around 15 is just want I wanted -- I never need the gauge to read higher than that (15-20 is overkill and not needed). The gauge is extremely steady and accurate. It's a weighty, quality item. Looks good. Has an easy to use release valve. Very quick to get your ball 100% accurate. I did get one that goes only to 15 psi. Throw away those crappy "stick" gauges, which are incredibly inaccurate. These little beauties will do the trick! I never thought I'd be excited to have a ball gauge ;)

I also picked up an additional (spare) gauge and the Tachikara double action pump. I've got three cheap pumps at home that can't even get the ball pumped up to 15 psi...this little tiny pump did it in about 50 strokes!

5Nice Ball Pressure Gauge  Oct 04, 2010 By B. Mogg
I've always been particular about basketball, football, and soccer ball pressure, as I think it makes a great deal of difference in the feel of the ball (and it seems I'm in the minority). This is a nice tool to regulate ball pressure, though not perfect. You have to air up the ball over capacity, which most balls can handle with ease, then deflate in small increments using the push button on the side. The instrument allows for great precision.

NOTE: My gauge does not look like the one in the picture. It goes up to 15 lbs, not 20 as the picture shows, and the push button on the side is plastic. These changes do not affect my opinion of the product, but it is different than the amazon picture.

4Decent Gauge  Jun 17, 2008 By none
I bought this gauge two years ago for reffing soccer, you need to have accurate pressure especially at higher levels, it just recently broke i think due to an over inflated ball or maybe just mishandling but regardless, 10 dollars for two years of work was fine with me, I will be buying a new one.

5Worth the 12 bucks  Oct 14, 2009 By Jeffrey Warmington
This guage is fast and accurate and easy to use. I pump the ball up hard and then insert the guage and let out a little until it hits the right psi. Like others have experienced, the scale on the guage I received only goes up to 15 psi but I don't belive that's a big deal since the footballs I have all require 13 psi. In fact, it makes for an easier read. It's a fine guage for the price. I recommend it highly.

5A very useful tool!  Oct 04, 2009 By Richard W. Moulton "Big Bopper"
Just about every ball we own has an "inflate to xx pounds". So, what good is a pump alone if you can't tell how much air pressure you have put into the ball? After buying this gauge, I discovered that every ball was seriously underinflated. The gauge is simple to use and has an air release button so you can adjust the pressure down if you have overinflated the ball. I used it to properly inflate every player's ball on my son's soccer team--every ball was low!
