| | Description | The Stash Tea Company is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1972, the company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship's captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his "stash," stowed carefully as his "private reserve." Today, the term still is used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness. Stash Premium White Tea is organically grown in the Fujian province of China. Produced from the tip or buds of a special tea plant, white tea is the least processed tea. It is simply plucked and dried, leaving it rich in antioxidants. This tea is a surprisingly full-bodied white tea, a treat for the connoisseur. Stash Tea has been committed to providing premium quality teas and an unsurpassed tea drinking experience. Stash begins with simply excellent tea leaves from the world's premier tea gardens and all natural botanical ingredients gathered from around the world. Meticulous blending and tasting of every tea ensures you will enjoy full flavor in every cup. | |

Good, solid product, not top-of-the-line Sep 18, 2008

The truth is, you almost always get what you are paying for. In the case of this product, you are a bit above the average 'value' curve. It's not my 'number one' white tea but it is a solid 'number two'. The kind I drink almost like I drink water, several cups a day.
If you are seeking some mystical white tea experience, go for the premium alternatives. I have the true premium and I have the 'Stash Premium Tea' which is not exactly 'premium' but I enjoy drinking it.
Oh, I subscribed for one box delivered each month. This takes another 15% of the price and you get free shipping even when you are under the $25 limit. And you can cancel any time.

White tea saves Jan 02, 2009

I generally stick to Numi and Tazo tea but decided to give Stash a try since I was looking for a good white tea and couldn't find one from them. After being hooked on green tea for years, this white tea has completely changed my mind. The flavour is mild and delicious. I do not put sugar or milk in my tea and I LOVE it! Plus, white tea has more antioxidants than green or black. This is a great buy.

Stash Premium White Tea Mar 19, 2009

I have been a Black tea drinker for 20+ years since I quit drinking coffee. I have had Oolong, Green, Red and other blends and kinds of tea. I am pleasantly surprised by the fragrance and flavor of this White variety. I usually drink 4-5 cups of Black tea during the morning hours and have replaced 2 of these with the White tea. I can envision the day where I will only drink this stuff. Try it you'll convert.

Very good, but not "Premium" Nov 11, 2008
By S. Harrison I like white tea because it lacks the bitterness that can be encountered with black and green teas, even after it cools. This tea is a very nice tea, but not really what I would call a "sit and savor the wonderfulness of it all" tea. It has a favor that is, to me, slightly reminiscent of peaches. The directions say to steep it one to three minutes. I recommend the longer steeping time. In my experience, steeping only one minute yielded a tea that was very bland.
I bought this tea to drink during the day at work. It is fine for that purpose, and I will definitely buy it again.

White tea tastes freshly-picked Oct 26, 2008

Being sensitive to molds, as in teas, I tried this white tea leaf. With a little turbinado sugar, the flavor is crisp and my allergies weren't flared.
