The Spalding 80559 has a 44" Advanced Eco-Composite rectangle backboard which uses 40% less plastic than traditional units. This unique construction increases the board's rigidity. The backboard comes with a standard rim and an all weather white net. This board is also Huffy and NBA branded.

the backboard is made of cheap plastic. out of the box the plastic was cracked and chipped. cheaply made. would have been better off to go walmart

Got the backboard installed. Took a little work to get it onto the old mounting hardware for the other backboard. After 1 hour of playing, the bottom of the backboard cracked all the way through after one of my kids hung on the net for a few seconds. Cannot say that the strength of the backboard is very good.

When the backboard arrived, the box looked in good shape, but when I opened it the edge was cracked and broken on one corner. Amazon had no problem replacing it with the same backboard. The second one arrived - I checked out all the corners while the UPS driver waited. Everything looked fine, but again when I took it out of the box to put it up the face of the backboard was cracked and broken. I think someone sat a heavy object on top of the rim and it pushed down and broke the backboard. I am not trying again - ordered a different backboard.

Very easy to assemble, all you need is a way to mount it to garage or wall. There are several holes in that back that make for many options on how to mount. My family loves it!
