3very functional but too flimsy to last  Dec 21, 2011 By MedievMedic
Got 3 of these to salve my recycle conscience and save on cost. I have the smallest of the Keurigs and drink 2 cups a day, so I figured I could keep 2 clean. The good news is that size is perfect, fits beautifully and brew is excellent (just using my adc ground Green Mtn coffee). They work great and are 5 star for that. However, they are made in china of all plastic, including the important hinge top that is the one moving part. I am super careful with this, but it's just plastic, rather flimsy, and there's no way it's going to last repeated openings, which of course are necessary for both filling and cleaning. This would not be a killer if they weren't so relatively expensive. I'm sure it can't have cost the producers even a dollar for these. Either upgrade quality or downgrade price!

5I Can't Understand the negative reviews  Dec 24, 2011 By Jon P. Rhynard "Jon"
I bought two of these, and have been using them for a couple weeks now. They are well built, they seal nicely, and they work great. I've been testing them out on various teas - loose chamomile, green tea, I even took some Tazo out of the tea bags and tried it in the Solofill - all tests passed with flying colors. There isn't much documentation out there for using a Keurig as a tea brewer from loose, but I am extremely pleased withe the results so far - it will press tea from too weak to overly strong depending on grind and amount. I ground some coffee and tried it in the solo - it was great. The pressed coffee using Solofill and Keurig tastes superior to the drip-brewed coffee in our Melitta or Krups coffee maker. A coarser grind on teas and coffees seems to work better, on fine grind the water has trouble pressing through the medium.

Cleaning them is quite easy, as long as you don't wait for the grounds to dry overnight inside the Solofill.

5This is wonderful!  Jan 04, 2012 By C Warren "tigger pooh"
When the refillable filter contraption that came with my Keurig broke last month, I decided to try this as a replacement. It seemed like an easier way to use a refillable filter than what came with the machine. I LOVE it! It is so easy to use! Since it sits right in the adaptor that holds the k-cups, there's no more switching back and forth depending on whether I use a k-cup or loose ground coffee. Using loose coffee with the Solofill lets me be one less person loading up the landfill with non-biodegradeable k-cups. Also, the cost of loose coffee is considerably less than k-cups, so I'm saving $$$ as well.

5Simple and easy.  Dec 27, 2011 By KaseyDoodle
I've been using the Solofill cup for about 6 months now and have no complaints. It fits into my Keurig perfectly and allows me to purchase my favorite coffees in bulk to save lots of cash. I'm also considering getting beans and a grinder for the absolute freshest cup possible. The metal filter makes it super easy to clean, and even after months of daily use, it looks just as good as it did on day one. My only issue is if you forget to clean it out while the coffee is still warm, it can be a little difficult to get the cooled grounds out of the little dip at the very bottom. Tapping it lightly against the edge of your garbage can works very well though.

1Just brown colored water...  Jan 21, 2012 By ErinS
I really wanted to love this product. I got a mini Keurig for Christmas and I immediately bought this 2-pack with great expectations after Checking that my model was on the compatabilty list. I tried several varieties of coffee, ground more and less, filled at various levels-- I really tried everything. After about 10 attempts, I ended up with extremely weak coffee and slightly damp grounds every time. Not only did I waste a lot of coffee trying to get a decent cup of but these ARE NOT returnable. I'm assuming its my model that's not compatible afterall as so many people love this product. No one in thier right mind would drink What I ended up with.
