Silicone Nose Pad Oct 03, 2007
By Po In September 07 when I first used these nose pads, I was slightly disappointed and this is what i wrote:
These nose pads have minimal padding (cushion effect). It is mainly for the purpose of a non-slip effect on eye-glasses.
With repeated use, i found them very flexible - they can be cut to shape and doubly stuck on the frames to increase thickness. I'm actually quite happy with them now (08 Jan 08)

Small nose user Sep 19, 2008

The silicone pads is exactly what I was looking for plastic rim glasses that did not have actual nose pad arms. So I needed these pads to stick to the actual frame of the glasses. The silicone pads did work well and prevented the glasses from sliding down my nose, but over the month time frame the adhesive failed a silicone pads did fall off. So, these do work great, but only last about a month.
A better adhesive (if you can find any that sticks to silicone) would be a good design change. As an engineer, I doubt that as silicone is very hard to adhere to.

Silicone nose pads Aug 01, 2009
By Panda I have tried both silicone nose pads offered on Amazon (Apex and the 12 pair ones by QTE North American) and the Apex seem to be better because the glue does not come off. However, they also only last about a month. The choice is either get the 12 pairs that smear glue on your face after one month or 2 pairs from Apex that will just fall off after 1 month.

The best nose pads I know of Aug 01, 2010

I've always been bothered by my glasses slipping down my nose and by the hurtful indentations made by the nose pads that are built in on my glasses. So I tried the nose pads available at a local store, but the only ones carried there are colored an inhuman, too-bright flesh color, and they absorb moisture from when I'm active and I sweat, becoming slippery so that I'm back to having my glasses slide down my nose. It takes a couple of days for those locally available nose pads to get to that point. But these clear nose pads don't stand out from my skin as the badly colored nose pads, and the silicone doesn't absorb moisture. If the adhesive would last longer, these clear nose pads would never need replacing. But these need replacing less often than the competition.

Excellent! Oct 23, 2008

I really like this product. However, I didn't give it the 5th star because they need to be replaced every couple weeks due to the adhesive life. They bond very well for a week or two, but soon after that, one of them will slide off. I guess I need to buy them in bulk. -JoeBo
