This is more than four times the fuel system cleaner than the regular STA-BIL and double the corrosion fighter. Marine STA-BIL prevents corrosion from moisture and ethanol-induced water attraction. If you are using ethanol blended fuel in your marine application, Gold Eagle recommends Marine STA-BIL with EVERY fill up, not just for storage. Stabil vs Stabil Marine Ethanol Stabilizer Dec 29, 2009
By A. Powell
"King of toys"
I have recently started using the new Stabil Marine formula instead of their regular (red) product. I can report that the Marine (green) works as well as the red but don't know how to tell that its better. This stuff is the real deal when it comes to gas stabilization. I don't think there is a better product on the market for this purpose. These products have saved me and many others untold grief dealing with sludged fuel and varnished carburetors. I add it to my non-auto fuel at the gas station which mixes it well and prevents me from putting non-treated gas in any of my motors. You never know when some toy or piece of equipment is going to sit for a while and it sure is nice when they start right up. If anyone knows how to rate the red vs green product I am sure all of us would like to hear about it. The green cost more but could be worth it.

Best Stuff on the Market Oct 01, 2010
By BSB If you put this fuel stabilizer in all of your outdoor power equipment, boats, and any other gasoline powered equipment that has the potential to stay idle more than 30 days then you will virtually eliminate fuel related problems. I have put away string trimmers and leaf blowers for the winter with gas in the tank and they start right up in the spring. The marine version would seem more expensive at first glance but it treats 4 times the amount of fuel than the standard red version. It is actually less expensive. The shelf life of this product is two years after the container is opened so if you purchase the 32 oz bottle make sure you are going to use 320 gallons of fuel in 24 months. Otherwise buy the smaller container or share with a neighbor.

Marine Sta-Bil Sep 02, 2011
By Deepsea21 If you visit the Sta-Bil website, the difference between the standard red and the marine green is primarily the amount of detergents and cleaning additives. It does not really keep your fuel stable longer... It simply doubles the amount of cleaners and detergents which is a great thing when it comes to dealing with this ethanol blended crap our wonderful government has forced upon us. Reality is, this ethanol requirement has simply driven up the cost of everything else that is produced with corn as so much of it is going into the production of ethanol. There is no savings anywhere thanks to this ethanol mandate. We all just buy stronger fuel additives, get worse gas mileage and watch the price of everything else that uses corn go up. Wonderful! Marine Sta-Bil is a necessity in my opinion. I use it ALL THE TIME in my boat and all power equipment.

Use This Instead of Red Sta-Bil if Your Local Gas Contains Ethanol Oct 30, 2011
By Doron Avizov Years ago I used the regular/red sta-bil years ago and never had a problem with it. Now all local gas has ethanol in it and with the regular/red Sta-Bil the gas in my fuel can turned dark urine yellow within two months. My mechanic told me to use this instead and it really works. My gas is crystal clear several months after I filled my fuel cans using Marine Formula Sta-Bil.
I don't have a boat. I use green Sta-Bil in the gas cans that fill my portable gas powered generator that powers our home during black outs. The last thing we want is bad gas in the only source of electricity for our home. Every few months I'll empty out one of the gas cans into my car and it's fine so don't think Marine Formula Sta-Bil is for boats only. (Thank you Amazon reviewer who recommended a gas rotation!)
If your car, motorcycle or generator sits for weeks/months between uses, use Marine Formula Sta-Bil and a battery trickle charger and you'll be fine.
