Good Oil, Pain To Get Out Of The Container Aug 01, 2011 By Dave
I will say I read the other reviews on this before buying, and it is true it is a "royal pain" to pour out of the pail into a container to then pour into the motor. However the price of the pail cannot be beat compared to the quart or gallon size in the store. So I guess the price difference makes up for the difficulty. Other than that it is great stuff and would still recommend it to others. The container design is the reason I didn't give it the full five stars.

I have been using Royal Purple Synthetic motor oil,for two years now.Its been my opinion that this product performs and has outlasted many others on the market!Simply put,If you don't like it,then don't buy it!I will say that their filter is no different than any other synthetic one that is on the market.Try what suits you best. I have been using 15W40 R/P oil for about 4-years in my 2001 Ford 4X4 Diesel Excursion. I also run a High End Bypass Filtration Solutions Soot Oil Filter. The oil stays clean almost like new for a good 10,000 miles and oil samples are like new due to the soot oil filter doing its job. That's good, but mileage improvement verses Rotella regular oil is no different whatsoever. Nothing! So while it may be a good extended use oil, its not anywhere what they claim it to be. At least not in Diesel Engines. So for the cost of what you get it is really a big-looser. This is the last time I'll likley run it in my Excursion, I am going back to Rotella and save a good deal of money per oil change. I give it 2 stars

If you buy the 5 gallon pail you get an awesome price, and it ships right to your door for FREE ! It doesn't get any better than that. With the price of gasoline now a days online shopping is getting more and more sensible. I live out in the hills (9,000 ft) and the closest auto supply (or any supply) store is 50+ miles one way. When Amazon will ship whatever right to my home it saves me a whole lot of time and money. And the best thing is I don't have to give my hard earned dollars to china mart. Yahoo!!
