3was expecting better country songs  Nov 07, 2009 By S. Donohoe
I have to admit that the over all game was a little insulting to country music fans. Where the other rock bands make the avatars look cool, this one make them look like a bunch of white trash, missing teeth, haven't showered in decades, bottom of the gene pool. It was obviously made by people who do not like country and do not understand what it is about. The song choices are okay. There are a few gems and even a bunch of female vocals(I am female and like girlie songs). They could have chosen much better songs from each artist with a few minor exceptions. I was very excited about the country music rock band, and had in the past, even written the company begging for it, only to be told that the demand was extremely low for one. It just felt that the people felt like making this was some sort of punishment and hated every minuet, even going out of their way to be quite insulting to country music artists as well as country music fans. Please try harder people! But if you are a die hard country fan, you're going to buy this anyway and enjoy it to the fullest, because that is what we do. Don't take my word for it, go and ask others or go and buy it yourself. I also wish there were more songs. Maybe they will come out with a sequel to this one...

5A winner  Oct 01, 2009 By Lynn "loving the sun"
I own quite a selection of Rock Band and Guitar Hero games and enjoy them all. But if you want to spend a relaxing evening just having loads of fun, Rock Band Country Track Pack is a winner! It's more laid back on the whole since it is country music but I ended up enjoying the different pace. We even had some people who don't like country music, having a blast with this game. The selection of music is not exactly what I would have expected. There are a lot of good songs that are fun to play but you will find a few clunkers right off the bat that you will never play again. Not unusual though since they seem to put songs like that on all Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. I would highly recommend this game for anyone who plays Rock band or Guitar Hero for fun, those who are hard core will probably find it too tame even on expert.

4Yee Haw!!!  Jul 21, 2009 By Michael Kerner "Michael Kerner"
With the success of great music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, there have been so many great songs that have made you feel like you were saying Rock On!!! Sadly, with all the rhythm games, even Dance Dance Revolution, there just honestly has been only one audience that has not felt like it has simply received the credit and the gaming excitement that it definitely has needed, the country music audience. Thankfully Rock Band has decided to give that a nice change of pace with the new Rock Band: Country Track Pack. The stand alone game for Rock Band fans tries to fan the flames of those who've wanted to twist and square dance jam their way to their favorite songs.

Rock Band: Country Track Pack for the Nintendo Wii, is honestly the better one of the stand alone Rock Band game compilations that honestly brings in more variety than what has been overshadowed from music games. The game does a very strong job at bringing in a simple but enjoyable cavalcade of great artists into the gameplay from greats like Kenny Rogers to legends like Willie Nelson and Shania Twain. There are a lot of great songs to jam your way to the top to including classic Country music standards like Kenny Rogers hit The Gambler and Shania Twain's twang from 1995's Any Man Of Mine, to favorite for pop fans like Martina McBride's This One's For The Girls, and many others from the Dixie Chicks and Brooks & Dunn. The graphics look good, but the gameplay works well with all the Rock Band insturments from the guitars and drums as well as the microphone. Sadly though, I was a bit surprised gthey could've added a few tracks from legends like Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton as well. The second gripe is that I was also hoping that could;ve challenged against other wanna be country gamers online, but that simply isn't here either.

All in all, despite a few artists that were overshadowed, Rock Band: Country Track Pack for the Nintendo Wii is definitely a must have for anyone who wants a bit of twang into their gaming life. I was honestly surprised Rock Band hadn't done that much sooner, but it actually is well worth the wait. I honestly hope that there are more country editions of the stand alone Rock Band game soon. Because I would like to see a sequel that'll make you want to do some line dancing your denims and boots off to the top of the charts.

5Suprisenly Great  Dec 27, 2009 By Ramzey Mansour
We bought Band Hero, a new Guiter Hero World Tour but with more mainstream music. Guitar Hero didn't have any country music games so I took a chance with buying a rock band game for a guiter hero wii equipment. Worried at first but it suprisenly worked very well. It was a great purchase. By the way, this was a christmas gift for my wife. She loves singing the music while my boys and I jam on the instruments. Great family game night!!! Highly recommend it.

1Country Track Pack  Jan 29, 2010 By B. Kucsmas
What nobody tells you when you purchase a track pack is that the songs can not be loaded into the original Rock Band 2 (RB2) game. No place does it say the songs are not available for download into the game. When I asked the company about this their reply was "Thanks for writing. Due to technical limitations, the Country Track Pack does not have an export function on the Wii." This should be made clear on the packaging so people do not waste money buying a set of songs they will not use. In addition the software used to play the track pack games is fair quality at best when compared to the RB2 game. The location of where to play a note on the track pack is different from the RB2 game and can not be adjusted through the calibration settings. Many of the features and extras in the RB2 game are not available in the track packs. DO NOT buy track packs if you are wanting to extend your game play. You are much better off purchasing the songs on line with the Wii and loading them onto a SD card.
