Powerful Mower for a Perfectly Manicured Lawn When it comes to performance, the Recharge Mower won't let you down. The two long-life, 900-watt electric blades spin at 3,800 RPM for fast cutting. And five selectable cutting heights in half-inch increments from 0.75 to 2.75 ensure a perfectly manicured result. The Recharge Mower also features a 27-inch wide cutting path--bigger than conventional walk-behind mowers, yet small enough to allow for free movement through an average fence gate, giving you convenient access to front and rear yards. The powerful rear-wheel-drive electric motor provides abundant forward and reverse momentum. Designed with Safety in Mind The Recharge Mower was designed with a host of features that ensure optimum user safety. To start, an operator-presence switch prevents the unit from functioning when the operator leaves the seat. Additionally, a blade engagement switch requires two actions to initiate the activation of the blade, and reverse speed limiting means the mower will only operate at half the normal forward speed while in reverse. For further safety, this mower operates quietly, so it's easy on your ears. Rugged, Durable Construction for Long Life The Recharge Mower is ultra-durable and won't need tune-ups or special maintenance. Built to last, it boasts a resilient body that's perfectly fitted over a coated and welded metal frame. Additionally, its sealed 36v38Ah batteries are center mounted to improve balance and weight distribution, while its cutting blades are housed within the metal shrouded deck for extra protection against wear and tear. What's more, all of the Recharge Mower's connections are tight and weatherproofed with shrink wrap, and the electronic components are safely positioned and shielded under the operator seat to prevent damage. The Recharge Mower conforms to UL1447 and ANSI B71.1 standards and comes with a two-year limited warranty. What's in the Box Mower with three sealed batteries; grass catcher; charger; and operator's manual.

Recharge mower Aug 02, 2010
By J. Glasgow I rated this mower at five stars because it delivered all that it promised. I also went directly through the Company (sorry, Amazon) because my comfort-zone with the price suggested to me that I should by-pass the middleman. From day-one, the company courteously answered all my pre-purchase questions, walked me through shipping - assembly- and operations, including tips to use the mower more effectively.
Using my push mower, my suburban lawn used to take me almost three hours to do, and that with my wife's help. (I'm retired, i.e., well over 21.) Now I do it by myself in about one hour. After about eight mowings already, I am quite satisfied. Operationally, the twin blades cut well, and the bagger is superb. The power is more than adequate, both in chomping grass and rises in terrain with rider and full load of grass. I also tested the charging capacity. I did a couple of double-runs on one recharge, for a total of about two and three-quarters of an hour. It can do the promised three hour running time per charge.
It was refreshing, considering the cost of the machine, to have so many safeguards to protect the mower itself, as well as the obvious safety to operator and other wee critters nearby. For me, it is more agile that a conventional tractor-type. I appreciate not having bio-hazards in the garage, no odors, and almost nothing in maintenance. With an estimated 25-30 recharges per mowing season, I would anticipate a long, long time before needing to replace the battery pack.
If you have a normal suburban-sized lawn, and a noisy conventional gas riding mower does not excite you, I could recommend the Recharge Electric riding mower without reservation.

Huge expen$ive mistake! Aug 23, 2010
By Enchanted Alchemist I recently bought this mower in the spring of 2010 for $2200 and it is defective. The drive motor needs to be replaced. It has been weeks since I called to report this to the warranty company and I am really worried that it will take a very long time for this repair to be completed. There are many other parts that have been faulty for other owners of this model. I am presently waiting to have the following parts to be replaced: drive motor/rear axle assembly, control module [drives forward and backward], relay module [controls cutting blades], steering wheel, rake brackets, seat rod cotter pins.
I was so excited about this mower for so many reasons: small enough to fit through my gates, no gas or oil, no fumes and low noise. I am now so disappointed that I made this foolish decision on such an expensive purchase. Recharge Mower should send me a new mower. Instead they are replacing everything but the seat and tires.
There was another bad review of this mower very recently on Amazon. The owner was having several problems including it accelerating out of control. Now I notice that this negative review has been removed!!! I hope my review won't be censored.
This is a great concept, but I suggest you wait for the many defects to be worked out before purchasing.

Owned For A Year Mar 26, 2011
By Malcolm West

I've owned this mower for a full season and have about 1/2 an acre of grass on mostly flat terrain.
The mower was delivered promptly and I bought it directly from the manufacturer (Amazon didn't carry it yet). Set-up was easy and the mower cuts well, though the grass discharge at the back of the mower tends to leave clumps of grass. Gas riding mowers discharge to the side with more power and disperse the clippings better. If your grass is long, or wet, grass clumps will be a problem. Or just use the clipping bag attachment.
After about five uses, the mower stopped working. I called the help number and the president of the company called me back the same day. He scheduled a repair visit with a local shop who came to my house a few days later and replaced a faulty electronic part. It was their first warranty repair and they were quite intrigued by the mower. There was no charge for the service and the mower has run fine ever since. I was told there was a bad batch of parts on the early models.
Operating the speed of the mower takes a little getting used to because it is controlled by a knob on the steering panel. You also have to use two hands to operate (cut) and steer. The mower is less stable on traversing inclines because of it's width and tire size. If you have hills or your lawn is sloping, this mower is not a good choice.
No gas, no oil, no engine maintenance, easy to steer and operate, charges-up just fine, and it's quiet! You can't even tell the lawn is being mowed and I wish all my neighbors owned one. Perhaps the mower's greatest feature is my wife likes using it.
However, I decided to keep my Craftsman 42" mower for spring when the grass grows like crazy, and in the fall when I grind-up leaves.

powerchair mower Jul 10, 2010
By Walter J. Dedo Jr. I received the rechargemower in about a week after ordering it . The delivery company put it right in my garage and I had it assembled in about 30 minutes. After charging it overnight I cut both my front and back lawn with plenty of power to spare. It takes time getting used to because you have to go slower then with a gas rider and it has a lot of safety switches on it. The things I like most about it is I just have to charge it once after using it and then unplug it and it is ready to go in a week when I'm set to mow again. Also it has a very even cut which I didn't get with my other mowers because I have a lot of uneven spots in my lawn.I can also use it as apower chair if I need to get something up at the store because with the 3 hour run time it makes it with ease. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it bogs down a little going up hill and doesn't do leaves and a week after I bought it amazon dropped the price by $300.

Eco friendly lawn mower Jun 05, 2011
By J. ALLEN
"Jay"
Lawn mower is easy to use and does a great job. It gives you enough operating time to cut the front and back of the average mid western lawn. The only draw back for me is, I want to be able to adjust it to not cut my lawn so close. I wish it could adjust for people who want just a little taller grass.
