| | Description | Nurtured by Nature diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. Nurtured by Nature diapers respect your baby's skin, perform like a super premium diaper, and offer a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Nurtured by Nature offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. But the environmental impact of Nurtured by Nature diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. Nurtured by Nature Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created by the production and consumption of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Nurtured by Nature diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Nurtured by Nature diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent material with traditional absorbent gel material. Finally, the backsheet and topsheet of Nurtured by Nature diapers contain 50% plant-starch based Ingeo (TM) fiber, an annually renewable resource. (Formerly Natural Choice brand diapers) | |

Exact same diaper as Kroger's Comfort for Baby Jun 05, 2010
By D. Gutierrez
"ready_wheats1"
I wrote this review on the Natural Choice diapers but since they have changed their names, I thought I would let everyone know...
I have been ordering Natural Choice diapers for my daughter for the past 6 months off of Amazon. They are amazing environmental diapers. The only thing I am questioning now about this brand is I had run out of my order of these off of Amazon and money that week was tight for us so I went to Kroger's and bought Comforts for Baby diapers that said they had chlorine free pulp and had bio-degradable materials. When I got home and opened the package they were the exact same diaper as Natural Choice. The only place I have found the Comforts for Baby is Krogers. I will be looking into this some more.
You should also look into to this too because now that the price and amount of diapers you receive has changed it is cheaper to buy the exact SAME diaper from Kroger's by the brand Comforts for Baby in the light green box. I bought a box of size 3 72 diapers for 15 dollars and that comes out to be 21 cents without a coupon. While the new price of these Nurtured by Nature in size 3 is 24 cents a diaper and that is if you sign up for the subscribe and save.

Love them!! Aug 22, 2010
By Carly My son has eczema and a high sensitivity to diapers and soaps. For the longest time, I could only use cloth diapers with a specific brand of detergent. I love cloth diapers, but I am SO glad to have finally found a disposable brand that I can use!
My son has never had a problem with these diapers, whereas he's had issues with 6 other brands we had tried.
I love their cut. When it's the right sized diaper, it never leaks!
And I love that they are environmentally sensitive. Now I can have the convenience of disposables without the guilt! (Sorry cloth diapers!!)
Because others have commented on the price, I want to mention that we do not have the "other brand" that people say are the exact same where I live, but they do sell this brand at my local store. I get them from amazon because they are MUCH less expensive through amazon than through my local store.
However, I recently changed my rating from 5-star to 3-star because a large number of diapers from this company have been tearing ridiculously easy. My guess is that the quality of manufacturing has gone down, and it has cost me throwing away quite a bit of unused diapers that have just fallen apart. I am not opening them any harder than usual. They are simply not as good as they use to be. If I get many more like this, I will not be purchasing any more from this brand.

BEST Environmentally Sensitve Diapers Out There! Aug 14, 2011
By Kristen I am a red head, and have seriously sensitive skin, along with my poor 2 youngest kids. So when preparing for our last baby to be born, I decided to shoot for trying cloth diapers for the first time. For the environment, for money savings, and especially for my baby's skin. After struggling for 7 weeks with leaks from those, I finally started to look for a disposable that would solve at least all of my problems- with the exception of saving money. I tried 2 other brands of "environmentally sensitive" diapers, and my newborn had HORRIBLE reactions to both- PLUS we had as many leaks with those, as we did with the cloth. I moved on to trying the Nurtured by Nature, and couldn't be happier! The run very true to size, but you can fold them over in front, if you feel they are a little too bulky. I love the feel of the diaper, and we've had literally NO leak issues. A few "blow-outs", but with a newborn, a few are to be expected. My son is now almost 16 pounds, and we have just gone from size 2, to size 3, and they fit perfectly- even though he is just at the beginning of the proposed weight amount- (16-28pds). So he has now worn size 1, size 2, and we still love them! No leaks, no rashes, and with Subscribe and Save even same price as Pampers Swaddlers= one happy mom AND baby! :-)

BEST of diapers--environmental or not Jun 14, 2010
By K. B. Gantz
"mama g"
after using many brands of diapers (huggies, pampers, nature baby, 7th generation, gdiapers & cloth)this is the best product on the market. it keeps our sensitive skin from inflamation, is better for the environment (lessens reliance on petro-chemicals, supports us agribiz), stays on very active tushies, and doesn't leak! we've recommended these to friends who also agree---the BEST! Nurtured by Nature Environmentally-Sensitive Diapers, Large Size 4, 22-37 Pounds (108 Diapers)Natural Choice environmentally-sensitive Diapers, XX-Large Size 6, Over 35 Pounds (132-Count Diapers)

Just switched from Lorax brand - I mean, Seventh Generation - to these! Mar 12, 2012
By VisionMaker We were looking for an alternative to Seventh Generation diapers since they changed their diaper design to accommodate the ever-present corporate advertising of the Lorax on the fastening strip. I was sorely disappointed in this change, as the 7G diapers had been working well for us for well over a year.
So we were on the hunt again for the good, eco-friendly choice in disposables. We tried both Earth's Best and Nurtured by Nature. My husband and I agree (wow!) that the Nurtured by Nature diapers fit extremely well, better than the 7G diapers fit. Also, in doing my research, I learned much more about what the 7th Gen diapers contain that these diapers don't contain, mainly dyes among other things.
Earth's Best were OK, but definitely did not fit as well as the Nurtured by Nature. We found Earth's Best to be a little tight around the legs, and my daughter is on the skinny side. The Earth's Best left little marks around her thighs.
So the Lorax/7thGen annoyed me enough to change diapers, but it may have pushed me to find an even better product out there, better fitting, more comfortable and more eco-friendly. On top of all that, no advertising, corporate sponsorships, or franchised characters to deal with!
Happy to have found Nurtured by Nature.
