5Throw away all of your other products, you will never need them again lol  Apr 19, 2009 By AmandaC "ACC"
I deep fried my hair with bleach about 8 times, it's been every color of the rainbow and then some, I relaxed it, etc. Everything you could do wrong to your hair, I've done! BUT... Just when I thought all hope was lost, I tried using a little jojoba oil in my hair before flat-ironing it (with a CHI, of course <3) wow. just wow. My hair is just as soft, if not softer than it was before I ever burned it a million times over. It comes out very straight, and the style holds very well. Mind you, it's really easy to over do it with this oil because it's so concentrated, but I personally don't trust it unless it comes pure. For shoulder length hair like mine, I use about 3 or 4 drops each time. THAT'S IT. Or it'll look more oily than the fields in the middle east. I've done this on my sister's hair (which is completely different, it's very kinky) and it works even better. Since her hair isn't bleached, it not only comes out straight and soft but shiny as well (and not in the omg oil way). I love this stuff so much. Without it, I might have had to shave off all of my hair! :x (oh yeah, make sure to straighten/style with this oil after your hair is already dried)

Oh, and this makes a wonderful skin moisturizer as well. (Only good if you like the shiny-ish glowing goddess look on your skin)

PS GREAT if you are acne prone, this oil is very similar to the oil our skin naturally makes so if you use it you won't break out like no tomorrow.

PSS On occasion, I will combine this with a dime-size drop of Biosilk Silk Therapy: Silk Treatment for styles with more volume. Mix the two in the palm of your hands and brush through your hair lightly with it. The Sally Beauty Generic of Biosilk works just as well. =)

5Love this oil  May 02, 2008 By April Fear
I love this oil for skin care. I no longer use lotions on my body or face. I put the oil in a small spray bottle with 1/4 water and spray on my skin. The oil soaks in quickly and leaves my skin very soft.

5Wonderful allover facial treatment  Jul 22, 2008 By Story Caterpillar
I have been using jojoba oil on my face for almost a week now and I am absolutely amazed. I started using shikakai and amla powders on my face a while ago (you can see my reviews for them as well) and was extremely impressed by how soft it made my skin feel, but it became very drying after a while. So I tried a few different oils and really wasn't very happy with any of them until I tried jojoba. Not only has it made my skin even softer than the amla and shakakai powders alone (which is amazing in itself!), but it also leaves my skin feeling cool and hydrated without being at all oily. My skin has also become more uniform as well. I normally have combination skin, oily on some parts and dry in others. The jojoba has completely balanced me out and I don't have oily and dry patches anymore, just super hydrated, soft skin all over. I've also noticed that the discoloration I've had on some parts of my skin (from old acne scarring) is fading significantly. I have no idea how that's possible, but it's happening! I recommend this oil to EVERYONE - whether you have dry skin or oily skin and especially if you have combination skin like I do. Just keep in mind that less is definitely more. I use about four to six drops. Any more than that will make my skin feel oily, I'm assuming that's because my skin can't absorb more than that at a time. I also HIGHLY recommend using tea tree oil with your jojoba (one part tea tree to three parts jojoba, and if that irritates your skin, use less tea tree.) I've been using this with my jojoba oil for acne and my face has cleared up almost completely. Studies have shown that tea tree oil is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide in treating acne and I think it's much kinder to your face. I think if you're looking for a natural way to soften and hydrate your skin you should definitely give jojoba oil a try.
On a side note, I personally did not like jojoba on my hair. I do use it on my scalp before washing my hair to help with dandruff (I use it in combination with neem, cedarwood, lemongrass and tea tree oil) but I only leave it in overnight and then wash it out. While it will completely absorb into the pores on your face and scalp, it does NOT penetrate the hair shaft so although it left my hair shiny, it also left it feeling greasy which I can`t tolerate. I've been using coconut oil in combination with olive oil (50/50) instead which works much better for me and both of those oils do penetrate the hair shaft. My results with coconut/olive oil on my hair were amazing (you can see my review on coconut oil for more on that.) But for my face and scalp, jojoba is incredible!!!

5AWESOME as a hair conditioner  Jul 01, 2006 By Zen
I read that jojoba oil is good as a hair conditioner so I bought some. I love the feel of my shoulder length hair - it looks/feels just like it does after I get my hair done at a salon. After shampooing, I rub some jojoba in my palms and applied like conditioner, making sure to get the ends of my hair. Use a big-tooth comb to coat the hair, leave on for a few minutes, rinse thoroughly, use a little shampoo to wash out. Style as normal. AWESOME!

5THIS OIL IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!  Feb 07, 2011 By NOLA_CHCK
I bought this oil because I am an African American woman with natural hair (3c to be exact). I heard great things about Jojoba oil and I know NOW is a good reputable company so I thought I would give this a whirl. Not only did my hair look beautiful but it also ended my dry skin spells. I work in a hospital and wash my hands frequently. Soap and water + dry/cold weather = extremely dry painful skin. I would add a few drops of this oil to about 2 pumps of lotion in my hands and mix them together and within a week my skin was rejuvenated and supple. The great thing about this oil compared to baby oil is that baby oil contains mineral oil and mineral oil can clog pores. What this means is that you have skin problems, jojoba oil is a nice clean oil that should not cause irritation and also won't have you feeling you just bathed with a bottle of Crisco. This oil is definitely worth the price because it's benefits are so wonderful!
