3The Discription is wrong......  Apr 20, 2012 By Peskie
The device works fine But is is not a Bluetooth Device. Its a 2.4 g Wireless device. Not quite as reliable as Bluetooth.

4NOT a Bluetooth keyboard but still works with a Mac  Mar 15, 2012 By G. Boravich "MacAdvance Consulting"
The keyboard I received is NOT the Bluetooth model as described. The model I received is the Riitek RT-MWK01 which is not the Bluetooth model of this keyboard. Before ordering I recommend visiting the Riitek.com website to see which models are Bluetooth. The RT-MWK01 is a wireless 2.4 GHz device that requires using the included mini USB receiver. Nowhere in the manual is there a mention of Bluetooth discovery mode or pairing with Bluetooth devices. Since it requires the USB receiver, it can't be used with iPhones, iPads, etc.

That being said, I decided to keep it anyway and try it with a Mac mini that I use with my home entertainment system. The Mac mini (running OS X 10.6.8 and then upgraded to 10.7.3) detected the USB receiver without needing additional drivers. After prompting me to press certain keys on the keyboard for calibration it was up and running. The backlit keyboard is perfect for low light conditions and the trackpad seems to work well. The only key lacking so far is the Command/Apple key that is normally on Apple keyboards. This makes it necessary to use menu choices for commands instead of the Command-key equivalents. The overall feel of the device is a little flimsy but not bad. Pressing the keys gives decent tactile response. For the price I would recommend this keyboard but if you plan to use it with iOS devices (iPhones, etc.) be sure to get the Bluetooth model.

1VERY short range  Feb 09, 2012 By Tortuga
Worked as advertised, but only within three feet of the receiver when connected to a desktop computer. Tried it both with its own Bluetooth receiver and another.

4Pretty good little keyboard  Jan 06, 2012 By anthonytx1
This thing is great! It pairs with my Asus Transformer Android tablet, or my Gateway Windows 7 laptop without any issues. I most often use it when I want to connect my laptop to my TV and watch Youtube videos or something. I can sit on my couch and relax while I use this thing to type and navigate, and I don't have to get up to mess with the computer each time I want to switch videos. This thing is pretty small, maybe an inch or so longer than my Samsung Epic smart phone, so I can easily hold it and type just like I would on a phone with a built-in keyboard. The battery seems to last pretty long, and it charges with a standard mini-usb/usb cable. It comes with a built-in laser pointer to entertain the kids and pets, or I suppose, could be quite useful for presentations at work, but who wants to work anyway? Oh, and it does come with a bluetooth dongle that you can store in a built-in compartment, so you don't even need to go out and buy one of those.

There are a few negatives which is why I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars, but these are small issues, really, and the pros far outweigh the cons for me. First of all, trying to type around the touchpad with your right thumb can be a little awkward, It just takes a little getting use to, I suppose. Secondly, I have to press down a little more deliberately on the "I" key than I do for the other keys. It might just be a flaw in this particular item, or maybe I just naturally don't press keys hard enough, but again, not a huge deal as long as I remember to press the keys a little harder. Finally, lining up the mouse pointer on-screen can be cumbersome at times, as it tends to jump around. I assume it's a bluetooth signal reception issue, and it goes away if I move a little to the left or a little to the right, you know, something like that, but I have experienced issues like this with other bluetooth devices before, so it's not really a big deal.

5Tons of features for such a low price  Dec 29, 2011 By Forrest Rattray "mumbels24"
I can't believe I didn't buy this months ago. I love the backlight, and all the secondary function keys. Range is a consideration. I only use this unit around the house. Note: I do not use the supplied USB dongle. I use an ASUS low profile dongle I got off of Newegg. I needed a full function mini USB keyboard with touchpad, and this unit answered my dreams.
