Mestermacher whole grain rye bread is tasty and healthy. Lots of fiber to keep the stomach in order. 12 packages may scare away a smaller household, but not to worry. Put some of them in your freezer. Freezing and thawing does not deminish the quality, nor the taste.
I would also like to compliment the service. When my original order was received I discovered that it had incorrectly been filled with Pumpernickel. I called customer service to find out what could be done. The nice lady said: "Keep it, donate to a food bank, whatever you choose. Meanwhile we shall send you a new box with the bread you ordered." It arrived a couple of days later. Bravo!

I love this stuff toasted--it is positively addictive --especially with peanut butter or real butter (shhh). It is all whole grain, so very good for you. Beware, though--it makes a messy sandwich unless you toast it or melt cheese on it first--it falls apart.

Delicious, hearty bread...real food...that keeps very well (due to being pasteurized). I feel confident that the EU has higher FDA-like standards than the US does anymore (too sad), so enjoy the quality of the bread.

After our local Aldi stopped carrying the similar product I was used to buying, I was very happy to find Mestemacher Whole Rye bread on Amazon. This is very close to the Russian whole rye bread that I grew up with. I am glad it was that easy. This bread freezes great and will last me for a while. I will buy another case when the first batch will be gone. Thanks,

We have a hit and miss supply of German breads here and price can be an issue as well. This was a better-than-local price and with free shipping it was a good deal. My wife and I could eat the various Mestemacher varieties on a daily basis. We believe it is a very healthy product as well as tasting terrific.
