The Advertisement is Right and Wrong! Jan 05, 2009 By West Texan "Jobe"
Pros: I use it in the kitchen to hang cuptowels, keys, extra plastic bags. I like the swing hook to put it flat against the metal surface and not stick out. Very stong magnet.

Cons: Will not hold a heavy coat as advertised, but will hold a heavy towel or heavy sweat pants - if this helps anyone decide how much weight it will hold.

Just a warning...I bought this hook to hang my winter jacket on the back of a file cabinet at work specifically because they said it was strong enough to hold a heavy coat without sliding. Well, I tried it out and it slides down. And I would return it but the cost of shipping is nearly as much as the stupid thing cost and Organize It does not refund shipping even though they falsely advertised that it would hold a heavy coat without sliding. I am just taking it as a loss. Maybe it will hold a light spring jacket 4 months from now and Ill finally get my money'sStainless Magnetic Hook worth.

I was looking for a hook on a magnet to hang my keys that wouldn't slip under their bulk. This hook not only supports the weight of my keys, but also holds my small purse! The hook swings flat when not in use.

I bought this hook and the matching paper towel holder. The magnets for both are weak. It holds a dish rag okay but when I slightly touch it to remove the rag, the hook slides around. Also the hook swings from side to side. This may be a positive thing for some, but I don't like it. The top of the wire kind of sticks out on the top which looks a bit cheap to me. The shipping was so expensive on this, I'll just keep it, but I don't recommend buying it. I'm returning the paper towel holder too - the magnets are not good.

I purchased this hook to put on my refrigerator to hold dish towels. It fits that need perfectly. The hook swivels in both directions. The magnet is strong so when you go to snatch the towel off the hook in a hurry, it doesn't pull the hook off with the towel. The "nib" on the end of the hook prevents the hook from tearing through any towels.

For my use... It's perfect!
