Good solid bad, hard maple, my kid uses it for little league but it never hurts to have a good bat in the house when you live in the hood.

This is my first wood bat for my 10 yr old. We are preparing for his first wood bat tournament in 2 weeks. After receiving it on a Thursday afternoon, we headed out to the batting cages for coach pitch (not machine pitch) practice.

After a dozen swings, I heard a small crack sound and checked the bat. Didn't see any crack and swung another 10 times, then the bat split in half.

I will still purchase other Louisville wood bats, just cannot recommend this model.

My son has fallen in love with baseball, and wanted a nice wood bat. He saved his allowance and picked out and purchased this bat himself. What a SMART decision!

The bat is beautiful. Really.

From the moment he opened the box and took out his new bat, I've had a hard time getting him to put the it down.

And just look at it. The photos do not do it justice.
