Other Better Toe Warmers Available, Not the Cheapest Either Feb 13, 2010

"Bottom Line"
In frigid Northern winters everyone needs to keep their feet warm but especially people working outdoors, involved in winter sports, and those with circulation problems like Raynaud's or peripheral vascular disease. Following are the options to do that:
1. Battery Powered Heated Socks: I tried Battery Powered Heated Socks which kept the feet warm but D sized battery was heavy to carry on each leg and they used to last may be about 8-9 hours of use.
2. Toe Warmers: Several years ago I bought one just out of curousity at the near by Skii resort. Was I pleased to use them! At that time the ski resort used to sell them (a different brand) as single toe warmers and each one used to cost more than two bucks. Three or four years ago I found Little Hotties Adhesive Toe Warmers 30 Pairs at Costco and have used them every winter until this year when I found HeatMax Toasti Toes Foot Warmer (40 Pairs). Toasti Toes definitely stay warm longer. When I take off shoes after coming back from work, these Toasti Toe warmers are still warm, unlike Little Hotties, which used to lose their warmth in 5 hours. Sometimes I use another pair of socks on top and keep using them even inside after at home. Little Hotties Adhesive Toe Warmers 30 Pairs cost more at 84.63 cents a piece than HeatMax Toasti Toes Foot Warmer (40 Pairs) at 82.7 cents a pair (as of February 12, 2010), it is even less expensive. The third brand of toe warmers, Grabber Toe Warmer, 8 Pairs comes in a pack of 8 and is the most expensive at dollar 1.25 a piece. What is even more curious is that Little Hotties Adhesive Toe Warmer 40 pairs bulk pack is more expensive at 1.50 a pair than the Little Hotties Adhesive Toe Warmers 30 Pairs!
My only gripe against Toasti Toes Foot Warmer is that the individual packets are so hard to open and you need a pair of scissors.
3. Special Socks for Toe Warmers: Heatmax also makes special socks where you can insert these toe warmers HeatMax Heated Socks. Personally I have not tried them but I am not sure what advantage they have over using these toe warmers with your regular socks.
HeatMax Toasti Toes Foot Warmer (40 Pairs) stays warm longer than these Little Hotties and as of February 12, 2010 is the least expensive of all the toe warmers available out there.

Not warm enough Jan 20, 2010
By Trabajando I bicycle 20 miles round-trip to work, so when the temperature is below freezing I need to use toe warmers. I bought some Hotties at Modell's and am not satisfied. At 35 degrees, the toes still feel cold, and at 20 degrees the Hotties are worthless. A much better brand is the GRABBER toe warmer -- they keep the toes warm even at zero degrees!

No more Numb Toes from Renauds Jan 21, 2011
By Sandra R. Passerman I get numb toes from the cold like most folks, however I also have Renauds which makes me more susceptible. These are a godsend. I use them when I play hockey and when I'm outdoors hiking or skiing. They give just the right amount of warmth. Not too hot, and have eliminated the distracting discomfort of cold numb toes.

Toastie toes Jan 20, 2011

"bike nut"
I'm a cyclist. I ride all year long if I can, (that means no ice) I can keep warm with my riding. Except my toes. That's what the toe warmers are all about. Most of my riding is about 2 hours in duration, so I have nice warm toes all ride long. I've also used them if I walk to the grocery store in the winter. It's about a mile and a half, again no cold feet. This is what you need if your in a cold area. I would like to add, I bought these warmers from Amazon, do the same if you want fast service.

Little Hotties Toe Warmers Jan 05, 2011
By Love to Walk While these toe warmers are not the warmest they do a sufficient job of keeping my toes comfortable when I bicycle in the winter. On really cold days I use the toe warmers with booties.
