3Some shortcomings to consider  Nov 08, 2007 By Good Behavior
As basic keyboard drawers go, this one is certainly adequate -- but no more. It's relatively sturdy, operates smoothly and installs fairly easily. But it does have some shortcomings to consider.
1. The space for your mouse is very small. If you need to move the cursor from one side of the screen to the other, there just isn't enough room move your mouse in that big of an arc.
2. The drawer does not lock into position. If you bump it with your stomach, it will move in, which can be annoying.
3. I wish it had a bigger range of height adjustment. The full range is only an inch and a half. In practical terms it's even less, because at its upper limit (closest to the desk bottom), there wouldn't be room for the mouse.

5Simple to install and does the trick  Oct 07, 2006 By R. Roe
I was looking for a simple, inexpensive keyboard tray to use with a bookcase and desk I recently built in my office. This was exactly what I was looking for. It has four settings you can use during install that allow you to customize how far down the tray hangs from the desktop. It's wide (27 inches) so there's enough room for your keyboard and mouse. Best of all, there's no "bounce" when you have it estended for use. It's solid. It comes with a wrist rest and mouse pad. The only issue I had was the picture showed it being white but the tray I got was black. I can live with that.

3Item is nice, dimensions are misleading  May 02, 2007 By Jenny Stilley
The keyboard drawer seemed to be of good quality but beware- the dimension listed of 26 inches is only talking about the tray. My desk required the tray to fit in a 27.5 inch spot and this keyboard tray is too big. You have to allot for at least 3 inches for mounting the tray.

1Poorly made and designed, Cracks easily.  Jan 06, 2009 By Kevin M. McCormick
We have about 25 of these drawers at my office, and have had most of them for several (3+) years. Most of them have cracked in the center as the build quality is quite flimsy. Also, the ends of the side rails are very sharp and over time have led to some ripped pants and socks of employees attempting to cross their legs while at work. I've also cut my scalp several times on the rails while reconnecting PCs underneath people's desks.

Other issues: The mouse area is far too small unless you work with an extremely sensitive mouse and only need about an inch of movement. Keyboards tend to slide quite a bit on the slick surface. The mouse pads and wrist rests provided are too slippery and do not stay in place, which especially makes the mouse pad useless. The tray bounces and slides back under the desk with even a minimal amount of force.

A few have stood the test of time, but most have been held together by the ingenuity of employees who have moved their keyboards to their desks or with packaging and scotch tape to mend cracks. Several have been replaced by the same model more than once by a manager who doesn't think a keyboard tray should cost more than $50. Would be suitable for an occasional use area where a temporary keyboard tray is absolutely necessary and budget is tight, but for a high-use desk, it would be worth spending an extra $50 for a nicer drawer, or getting a desk with an integrated tray.

4Sturdy keyboard tray  Apr 10, 2008 By S. L. Thomas
I purchased this keyboard for my wife's desk and she hasn't had any problems with it. The keyboard's design provides firm support for resting your hand as you maneuver your mouse and glides smoothly along the metal ball-bearing tracks. The keyboard has 4 height positions to adjust for comfort. One note of caution, the height of the keyboard can only be set during the assembly of the product. Once the keyboard is installed under your desk surface you would have to uninstall the keyboard tray prior to readjusting the keyboard height position. Otherwise this is a solid product and a good value for the price. I give it 4 instead of 5 stars because of keyboard height adjustment method.
