Nice boat but the cover is too flimsy Jul 02, 2011
By D. R. Basso We have had this paddle boat for a couple of seasons now and it has served the purpose for which it was purchased (putting around our cove of the lake). It is fun to move from dock to dock and visit with people. It doesn't go very fast and to make it go any reasonable speed you must peddle along with the motor, but it works fine. It is much easier than fooling with a trolling motor and it is easier to store. The only real problem is the cover will not stay on the boat when it is on the lift. It is too small and the wind pulls it off. I have had to anchor it to the dock in several places to keep it in place.
All in all it is what it is a power assisted peddle boat.

Came slightly used Aug 01, 2011
By Andrew I did a walk around when the shipment came in, as advised, to make sure there were no major defects that would perhaps cause the boat to sink, but I couldn't keep the delivery guy waiting for me to inspect every last detail. Once unwrapped I discovered that the canopy had cuts in it (probably from a box cutter), the straps showed signs of wear and use, a clip/buckle for the strap was missing (tied it off instead) and something I probably should have noticed at the time of delivery, the plastic seal around the outer edge was partialy pulled off, but we managed to slip it back on with a screw driver.
Now for the boat, it goes about 50% faster than a boat you'd pedal manually... not bad at all. The electric motor operation is completely silent on the slower settings, and I imagine this is great for troll fishing. Even though the pedals are there, you probably won't want to use them since the boat is willing to do the work for you. It's good to have the option though, incase the battery dies on you. The two drawbacks are 1) when occupied, all of the weight is over the rear half of the boat, so you sink back, it's not comfortably level, and 2) it's not as sturdy as other pedal boats. The boat will actualy buckle in the center when it's lifted. OTOH, this means it weighs less and goes faster/farther than it would if it were a thicker construction.

GREAT SOLID BOAT! Dec 23, 2011
By Baja 420 We bought a home on a small 8 acre lake and purchased this boat to "putz" around with. I found the boat to be extremely stable and loads of fun. We take take 2 adults and 2 nieces aboard and find that the boat is remarkably fast and steerable. The pedals move while the boat is under electric power so the adults just "lounge" with our feet on the side of the boat staying free of the pedals. I own a 42' triple engine cigarette boat in Grand Haven, MI and had discovered this pedal boat is mfg'd in Muskegon, MI. Obtaining spare parts for this boat was extremely easy and economical. The boat uses very little amperage at the lower settings which allow quite a bit of cruising time. The amperage use at "full tilt" was appx 27amps. This will draw the battery down quickly, but we find cruising in the middle speed range is more relaxing and greatly extends the battery life. A DC clamp on meter was used to measure current draw. Please call me at 269.251.5530 if you need more info. Dennis
