Intel i5 processor, handeled & sent without Static Safety Apr 13, 2012
By Hofner72 Amazon offered this Intel i5 at an unbelievably LOW Price!
When I purchased this CPU from a Seller through Amazon, I was to believe that it was being sold from an individual, who knew the dangers of handling this, or any static sensitive device, with care. He did not. This CPU arrived wrapped in clear bubble pack, and placed in a clear sandwich type baggie. They were all sealed with Scotch Tape©.
Following my proper handling and installation, I had doubts that it would work at all. To my amazement, the system booted. I'm not convinced that there will not be problems later on because of deeply hidden interior damage to this sensitive device.
The seller has been very supportive, and friendly. I took the time to explain the proper handling and packaging of these types of static sensitive components, and he appreciated it.
I believe that he will take this information to heart and at least handle his own chips and Motherboard with proper static sensitive procedures.
He is a Good Seller, just misinformed, and untrained, until now.
Thank You

Good performance, decent video Dec 12, 2010
By Tyler Soelberg Coupled with an H55 motherboard, this processor will also do your onboard video. In desktop situations that don't require intense 3d acceleration, this is fine. That means it's fine for your grandmother, your uncle, really, anybody that doesn't plan on intense gaming, it's fine. It even handles some games on lower settings. But if you want to game, you probably aren't buying an i5 anyway. And if you are, you're certainly going to grab a discrete card. However, this processor lives up to its marketing. Simply put, if you are trying to put a decent computer that will last a few years, or you are building some microATX boxes, this is your processor.
