Wonderful potty training help Oct 22, 2008
By J. Myrick

Once I finally got serious about potty training I realized the basic logistical issues I was dealing with.
I started with pampers pull-ups which I loved at the time. They were great for teaching my son how to pull up and down his underwear. That's all I was concentrating on, and the product worked well. Very comfortable, no leaking. They are very close to cloth-like underwear.
Then I got serious about potty training and my needs changed. I wasn't worried about leaks and comfort as much as I was with ease of use.
Huggies are easy to pull up and down, and are fairly absorbant as diapers, though not extremely so (not as much as the pampers). They are a little scratchier than the pampers, though my son doesn't seem to care. The open and close tabs on the sides are very useful. I would think we had a poop accident and lay my son down, and open up the sides, and realize that he just smelled like he'd pooped. It was nice not to waste the clean diaper. In addition, when he did accidentally poop, I was able to lay him down on his back and wipe him up, and the easy access sides were great then as well.
I didn't really need the cool alert feature at this point, and we moved straight into underwear, EXCEPT
Using the potty in the middle of the night. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time waking up and racing my son into the potty to get him to go in the nick of time. The cool alert wakes him up just enough to go running to the bathroom and give me time to groggily head over there. I expect he'll be in this "nighttime" underwear as we call it for another month or two, only because he still forgets once every couple of weeks or so, and I'd rather deal with a diaper than clean the sheets in the middle of the night.
As for the disappearing images... he never noticed and neither did I. That feature may be useful for other people, but not for us.

Good product Oct 20, 2009
By Karol Rhoades I ordered 2 boxes of boys pull ups for my nephew. One box said boy pull ups but there was girl pull ups in them. He still likes his "pink princess" pull ups.

Wetness liner? Dec 16, 2007
By J. Benzing

Great concept - the wetness liner, but not all its cracked up to be. Pull-ups are definitely easier than the pampers equivalent to apply while the child is standing in a public restroom, but as far as the wetness liner goes, my son paid no attention to it and continued to have accidents when he was too busy to go to the potty. Love the Huggies brand, but don't know if I will try this type again or not.

Poor Quality Feb 03, 2009
By Jacqueline De Lap I like these because the sides pull apart - makes it easy to remove them without taking off pants and shoes. However, the quality of the last few packs I've received have been very poor. The blue sealing strip has been coming off and today the sides just ripped as my child stepped into them. I've been throwing away 2-5 damaged pull-ups per pack, and although I did like these, I'm not buying them again.

convenient but does not hold much Mar 08, 2010
By Ta It's a nicely designed product with velcro sides, that is easy to put around or to pull up. However, we ended up with too many accidents that were not contained by this product. So one had to change pants, wash child sit and the sofa covers...
