Best Back Belt ! Mar 04, 2010
By Cameragirl I have worn a variety of back belts over the years as I have 3 damaged disks. I don't wear one every day, as most are bulky and uncomfortable under clothing. When my pain flares up tho, I do wear this belt or an earlier version of it to decrease the pain. The difference is in the magnets. Other belts support my back, but they do nothing for the pain. The magnets in this belt decrease the pain and the effects last past the time I actually wear it. I have bought 4 of these over the last ten years ( I keep one at work, one at home, one in my car, and I have loaned them out to friends in pain). The beauty of this listed belt is that Homedics has added a pocket for a gel pak (included) so that I can ice my back as I am wearing it. I have learned that icing my back is preferable to applying heat, so I don't have the issues others have with reheating the gel pac. I also like the XL size, because it can also be worn lower to relieve my hip and sciatica pain . Great product !!

Outstanding Back Support Oct 12, 2010
By Budo Shockingly high quality back wrap. This back wrap outshines most if not all other on the market. The wide belt gives great coverage to lumbar region. Two layers of wide and strong velcro closures keep this belt secure where placed. This can be used therapeutically or for general support. This wrap outshines most back supports designed for lifting. This product is easy to put on, easy to wear for extended period if needed, easy to conceal under clothing, easy to adjust for various levels of tightness. The ice pack pouch is easy to use and secures pouch well. This will provide support for anyone with back or abdominal hernia problems, or anyone looking for protection against them. Belt is comfortable enough to wear sitting or moving. The belt is comfortable with or without ice/heat pouch, and hold ice/heat pouch snug against the back where it is needed. Although there is some conflicting data on the usefulness of magnets in therapy, this belt is well worth the value never the less. The only draw back are that the ice/heat pouch has a recommended 4 hr freezer prep time, and has a recommendation to place in boiling water in bowl to prep for heat use. This product would be a 5+ star item if the ice/heat pouch was microwave safe and froze quicker. Highly recommended. Your money will not be wasted.

HoMedic Hot/Cold Therapy Back Wrap Oct 10, 2009

If you have back problems this wrap, with magnets, will help. I have one and have purchased one for a lady in our church, another one for my son, another one for my sister-in-law and yet another for my mother-in-law. These help my back pain and I have had only positive feedback from all that have received these wraps.

I like mine Dec 13, 2010

I have been very happy with my HoMedics wrap and I particularly love the ice pocket feature. I have to ice down every 2 hours or so for inflammation and the fact that I can walk around while icing down is tremendously helpful. The wrap offers medium support, and is easy to put on. I wear mine under my clothes. I do not use the pack for heating so I cannot comment on that part. The instructions do say to boil the pack for heating....and like a different user suggested....you can do this easily by wearing gloves to insert it into the pouch after boiling, as it does fit snuggly in there.
My only beef with the wrap is the fact that the large main strap part is made of mesh and is not as supportive as I would have hoped. The only support you get from the wrap is with the two extra velcro straps that you tighten once you have the wrap in place. I would have liked the main part to be made of something that would hold stronger than mesh. Despite this, I still like my therapy wrap.

Just what the doctor ordered Jun 24, 2010

This really helps when the old back is aching. I only use the cold therapy because I use a heating pad when it is time for heat therapy, but it is nice to know it is there if I need it. I also wear it when exercising (without hot or cold), and it really helps to prevent the back getting sore.
