Description

It amazes us how many people using standard keyboards today don't have a wrist rest or wrist pad. Sure keyboards are getting a bit thinner and shorter, but that still doesn't make your desktop any softer or create a comfortable ergonomic angle (meaning straight) for your wrists when you're typing. Over the years manufacturers have done to wrist pads what the lumber industry did to wood measurements and big brands have done to your box of cereal: Sell you less for the same price and claim you're getting the same value. And what's with the color options? They sell you black, black, and more black....like that's supposed to brighten up your workspace! So we went old school with our Keyboard Wrist Pad. Instead of some thin gel, gimmicky beads, or stuffed animal, we die-cut a two tier chuck of ¾ inch (that's nearly 1.9 cm's) neoprene rubber with a fat 4 inches of hand width (that's almost 10.2 cm's) so the wrist support surface area is large and comfortable. We do colors because be like to express our personality with simple statements in life: Hot pink, turquoise, purple, red, royal blue, aqua green, burgundy, and yes, black. We think you'll appreciate the extra fat pad support and splash of color on your desktop. Going retro is a good thing.

4Almost perfect  Jan 13, 2012 By raasnio "raasnio"
Someone recommended this wrist rest to me after I purchased a new keyboard. It's as they described it. It's big, comfortable, and of the perfect height for my mechanical keyboard. The only downside to it is that it has no grip on the bottom so it's prone to move now and then. This doesn't seem to happen while typing, but I frequently have to put it back in position once I return to my desk. As it is, it deserves 4 stars and I do recommend it. Especially if you aren't partial to gel-filled wrist rests. If it was less prone to sliding I would have given it 5 stars.

5Awesome Pad  May 06, 2012 By Degar I. Ro
I considered going for something more up-scale. After using this for more than two months, I think people who buy upscale stuff are being robbed. Let the rich figure out creative ways to jettison their wealth, but this thing is a winner.

5Why this is better than the Gel Pads  Jan 27, 2012 By Mark Manning
The problem with the gel pads (or even the beads or any other filled pad) is that they tend to fall apart after about a year. This is wristrest is simply a chunk of neophrene. This is the same stuff they use in wetsuits. The only drawback to the neophrene ones is that you do need to clean them every once in a while. BUT! Unlike the gel filled ones - these will not split open and allow everything in the center to come out. Instead, it just gets a bit dingy after about a year or two. But hey! $8.00 every couple of years for a new one (or if you clean it every once in a while more like four or five years) should not break your pocketbook.
