From the Manufacturer General Electric WR51X442 Refrigerator Defrost Heater Kit with Thermostat is used in GE, Kenmore and Hotpoint refrigerator brands. This is a 2 glass tube heater, each with a metal shield. Also includes a pre-wired wiring harness with a clip on defrost termination thermostat.

I saved about $25.00 on this item because I purchased via Amazon versus an appliance store.
Product worked great and the solid block of ice in my freezer is no more!!!

My GE side-by-side refrigerator began progressively warmer and warmer and the freezer began to become covered in frost. I reviewed some online repair forums which stated that this component was the most likely cause of the problem. This heater kit arrived quickly and fixed the problem right away. It took less than 30 minutes to install after the freezer was manually defrosted. The fridge is now colder than ever and there is no longer frost build-up in the freezer.

Good price. Easy to install (googled "replace refrigerator defrost heater") and has worked well so far. I've had it for 2 months. It did take a couple cycles to get through the frost built up since my last cleaning.
