Description

Tizzy Tumbles acts shy and sweet, but Tumbles bounces around so quickly that she often escapes. For this hungry bunny, nothing beats finding a yummy treat. There's a lot of hustle and bustle in any city, but there's lots more in this itty bitty city! Your Tizzy Tumbles figure is one furry little ball of energy -- and she just loves using that energy to explore your Scott and Scurry City playset. She'll push the ball when you put it in front of her, even when there's another figure on top and she'll escape out the gate if it's open. How can you keep her attention? Dress her up with hat, sunglasses, collar and clip accessories and she'll be happy to show off her stuff. But this little bunny was made for running and in no time, she'll be off racing around again. 4Fun but Challenging to Peice Together.  Oct 11, 2010 By Liolania "In2Jesus"
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R8IGNCVOPM5ZE Well, my video review explains everything, so watch that and I think you will get a good sense of the toy, how it works, and what to expect from it. :) The only thing I discovered is, there are ways to place the fence to make sure the critter does not get stuck. :D Just be careful of the fence placement. :D

Overall, a fun, but not particularly interactive toy, sound effects remind me of a Furbie, but LESS annoying, and cuter, and does not wake up when you walk in to the room, you have to touch it to wake it up. The only real downside is that it takes a while to put together, and I gave up on the actual instructions, and just used the box as a visual aid, there was only one thing I was able to really use in the instructions, and that was where to place one of the post to go under the road, other than that, I couldn't figure out anything, but this is probably also because I am a highly visual person, and if you give me instructions, unless they are VERY clearly written along with the visuals, forget it, I am just better off with the visuals. So if you aren't like me, you will probably be fine with the instructions. :D

God Bless ~Amy

4Beats The Zhu Zhu Tracks  Sep 28, 2010 By E. A. Montgomery
Assembly - 20 minutes, one screw to add a battery to the rabbit
Will a Zhu Zhu fit? - Yes, mostly
Hasbro Quality - think LPS
Play Value - better than competing track sets

When I first saw the Furry Frenzies City Center play set I refused to let my daughters get it. Last year they spent their holiday money on Zhu Zhu Pets - Funhouse Set with Hamster and we absolutely hated it. Before a month was out, we'd discarded all the track, but kept their pets. However, the City Center is much more compact than the Zhu Zhu track and far easier to assemble. It took me about 20 minutes from opening the box to finishing the last sticker (I disagree with the instructions - put the stickers on FIRST because there are a lot of them) and setting the kids loose. Oddly, there was no battery in the pet, although Furry Frenzies sold by themselves have the battery installed. The girls prefer this play set to their old track because it is more imagination friendly. The mechanical pets don't do much but run around the track, but the track is themed brightly and has been divided into sections 'store' or 'park' or 'alley' instead of being set up as rooms. It looks like a Littlest Pet Shop play set if LPS were the the size of your fist.

The Furry Frenzies, in the words of my 6 year old "Are just SO CUTE" and run about the track following the path the child sets with the gates. When the Furry Frenzies reaches a closed gate, it stops, lifts it's face up, and assumes a sort of begging position. The child can then turn it around or open the gate for the pet. When a Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster reaches the gate or one of the twists on the tunnel it also half elevates, but it doesn't stop moving. It rubs against the obstacle. My kids were perfectly happy to redirect the Zhu Zhu and keep playing. They are using this playset with two Furry Frenzies (bunny & cat) and a bucket full of Zhu Zhu pets. I see it easily lasting for months, there is none of the frustration they had with the other playset. I will probably get a set for each of my nieces.

3Kids liked it for a couple of days  Oct 18, 2010 By Water Monkey "Marc B."
Both of my kids have Zhu Zhu pets along with many of the track pieces. At first my 10-year old daughter had a negative opinion of FurReal Friends calling them, "a rip off of Zhu Zhu pets". After playing with the toy for a couple of hours both her and her little brother had both their FurReal pets and Zhu Zhu pets running through the play set. They enjoyed the different pieces and spent some time setting it up. But alas, after a couple of days the play set was pushed aside and is now ignored. It should be noted that the kids have also grown bored of their Zhu Zhu pets. So that may have been that cause of this boredom.

As a parent, the toy looks okay. It is well constructed, but will require some adult help in assembly (like most kids toys). I really don't care for these types of toys because they tend to limit the kids imagination and thus get bored quicker.

4Very cute and a hit!  Sep 22, 2010 By A. Hudson "papillon_lover"
The Fur Real Furry Frenzies Scoot and Scurry City featuring Tizzy Tumbles is a cute set with a gray bunny (that looks more like a mouse with big ears) that moves down slides and makes other actions happen, like buckets flipping over, signs spinning, and gates opening. The bunny itself is very cute, but not very cuddly since it is wheeled and hard, but covered with fake fur that makes it look soft. All in all, when our neighbor tested the set-up, after seeing everything that the bunny did on the set, she was more interested in playing with the bunny than in putting everything into action over and over. The options of accessorizing the bunny came into play, literally, and extended the play time. I think younger children would like to watch the actions and older ones would prefer to choose to dress up the bunny - making the toy more appealing to various ages. I dislike sounding gender-biased, but this set seems more appealing to young girls than boys.

The only significant con to this set-up was the time it took to piece it all together. There were eight plastic bags of parts, plus the top green segment and a separate sheet of stickers to use. I can see where it might be fun for an older child to help put it together, but the age on the box says 4+ so adults will have to do all the work for younger children. Allow plenty of time to do that. Batteries are not included (2 AAA or LR03) and a Phillips head screwdriver is needed.

5My daughters new favorite!  Dec 01, 2010 By Candy Beauchamp "CandysRaves"
I have to admit, I was really ready to hate this toy. I was expecting my daughter to play with it once, maybe twice, before it became just another dust collector. Boy was I wrong!

First off, I immediately compare it to the Zhu Zhu Pets "houses" that you can buy. Yet, while those are simply flat circular tracks that the "pet" runs around in, the FurReal Friends Furry Frenzies City Center has a lot more interactivity built in. First off, you can change up the track. You can change whether the pet runs around in loops, or whether they are making a run to the salon. Speaking of the salon: there are a dozen or so accessories that you can mix and match to give your Furry Frenzy a mini-makeover!

Setup was a bit of a hassle. "Some assembly required" is a massive understatement. I told my daughter she could play with it after her bath and that I would put it together while she was in the tub. About and hour later the Furry Frenzy made her first lap, but without any of the stickers attached. Though it took a long time, I must say that it went together pretty easily. Much easier than the simple Zhu Zhu tracks (seriously, did the people who invented those things ever try to put them together?)

Now for a couple of downsides:

1.) Interactivity is really limited to the salon area and minimal changing of the track.
2.) Zhu Zhu pets almost work. I understand that they are the competition, but it would be nice if our existing toys would work with this playset. Instead, using Zhu Zhu's with the FurReal Furry Frenzy City Center is a lesson in patience as you must continually reset them on the track. They get stuck a LOT.

Overall I rate this a 5 stars because it is a lot of fun for my daughter and her friends. They've spent hours playing on and around the playset with both the FurReal Furry Frenzy and their other toys and they show no sign of slowing down yet.
