Entertaining for a while Oct 11, 2010
By Amy Mcfarland
"Mom of 2"
My son got this for his 4th birthday. He was THRILLED to get it, and couldn't wait to get it home and start playing with it. He even tried to take it to bed the first night! The first few days, he played with it repeatedly throughout the day. After a few days, he tired of it. He still enjoys the remote control aspect, but only uses it for 5 minutes or so at a time. Pros: The BigFoot can do some pretty neat stuff, especially to a 4-year old boy! With the touch of a button, he roars, flips, burps, yells and throws a ball. The first time my son had him flip, he thought it was amazing and couldn't wait to do it over and over again. The remote is also easy to operate, and has just enough buttons to make it interesting and not overly complicated for the age group. Cons: Some of the actions are not performed quite as smoothly or easily as on the commercials. For instance, to get the BigFoot to throw the ball, you have to place the ball just so, and hope the mechanical thumb closes around it. If it doesn't lock or close tight enough, the ball just falls right back out. Also, the ball doesn't really get thrown so much as dropped with style. Still entertaining for a 4-year old, but only after many, many frustrating efforts getting the ball to stick. Another con is the sheer size/weight of the toy. When it flips over or falls backwards, it lands with a boom. My son used it in a bedroom with laminate wood floor, and there is now a little chip in the floor from the BigFoot landing with such force. It makes odd mechanical noises when it breaths and moves its arms in resting mode, and when it moves around. This makes it a little hard to hear it talk at times, over the whirring. Lastly, and this is the one that my son wishes were different - it only moves backwards and forwards, not side to side. If you're trying to steer it around the room, good luck! Overall, it's a pretty darned neat toy. For the money, I wish they'd made it more maneuverable and fixed the ball throwing.

Good if your a Engineer that can do repairs Dec 29, 2010
By Robert Sandoval My son got this for Christmas. Work good for the first few minutes then it locked up and gave 3 beep error. Took apart to investigate noticed a switch under the mouth. By depressing the switch the toy came back to life. This can be done by opening and closing the mouth (unit reset). The unit would lock everytime you would ask the toy to excersise. So took it back for another one. The second unit worked good but the thumb for the ball was stuck. Again took apart and noticed the unit was assembled wrong. Corrected the thumb by correct installation. Unit now works as advertised. So unless you are a Mechanical Engineer (like myself) this toy is not for you. When working toy is ok

Stopped working 4 days after Christmas! Dec 30, 2010
By Beth S What a horrible waste of money. I have two sons (2 and 5). The two year old LOVED this. He would give him hugs and cover him up with a blanket when Bigfoot would "sleep". My first clue that this toy wasn't worth the $$ was when after being charged for 4 hours on Christmas morning, it needed to be recharged AGAIN after the boys played with him for 30 minutes. Now, 4 days after Christmas the speaker in Bigfoot is broke! He makes all the facial and hand gestures, even still walks and flips (for now) but there is no sound coming out. My 5 year old is a bit sad but my two year old is still crying and asking for Bigfoot to talk.
Please, save yourself the cash and get something that will LAST!

Not working :( Dec 26, 2010
By Sarah My son opened this toy yesterday morning for xmas. It worked for about 30 minutes and then we charged it. After charging it would not work! It turns on for a second, the face moves and then it beeps and wont work. Have tried reseting it but that doesn't work. Very upsetting since this was the gift he was most excited about. Ill have to return and hopefully get a new one that will work.

Perfect present for my 4 yr old Dec 03, 2010
By FloiridianMom This was my 4yr olds favorite toy that he got on his birthday. He is rough with it and we have had no problems. The battery comes with a charger so you don't have to keep any on hand. I gave 5 starts for educational only because he is using his imagination and using hand eye coordnation with the remote. Even the remote is easy to figure out (grandpa couldn't but my son taught him how). This was a fantastic gift, Im so happy we bought this.
