I've been using a laptop as my work computer for a while, and got tired of looking down at it all the time -- not the best ergonomic position. This stand turned out to be perfect for my needs. With the laptop open, you just put the keyboard side under the large lip of the stand and, and the back of the stand holds it upright -- in my case the bottom of the screen is about 10 inches off the desk top. The degree of rise is somewhat adjustable by adding or removing feet -- two sets are included but I only used one set. You can also use an extra in the back to increase the tilt a bit.
The lip in the front has a tray indented into it, which gives you a place to put your cellphone or whatever. The 4-port USB 2.0 hub fits into the back of the stand. There is open space underneath, perfect for threading through keyboard or mouse wires.
I find the stand to be quite stable. The only improvement I could suggest would be a strip of rubber inside the lip to help keep the laptop from sliding from side to side. Because I don't view that as a real problem, I give this one 5 stars.

Ordered this and it shipped for free and arrived in about three days. Great item. The only "catch" is that the USB hub is actually detachable, but fits perfect in a spot behind the stand. So you run a cable (included) from one of your USB ports to the slot in the back of the stand. This is great because you can remove the USB plugs and use them on another computer if you do not need it. Great thinking. When my wife saw me using this last night she immediately wanted one. Good product.

I liked the idea of this riser - because of the angle, it took up less room on my desk, could hook my USBs into it, allowed air to circulate around my laptop. However, my chair is too low for my desk or something because it made me and the kids have to look up to see the screen, and our necks would start hurting after being on the computer for a while. I returned it, but it would be fine if you have an adjustable chair.
