3Good performance, short life  Aug 22, 2010 By Dave
The abrasive buffs sold by Dremel do a good job of sanding/smoothing irregular shaped objects, but they have a very short life span. I think it would depend upon your need for such a product to determine whether it is a reasonable value. I have not yet found a need that justifies wearing down a $2.50 buffing wheel in several minutes, but your use of these buffs may justify the high cost. At roughly $2.50 per buffing wheel it may not sound like much until you realize that it may take a great number of wheels to finish your project. I have rated these buffs as three stars because I believe they rate 5 stars for performance, but only 1 star for durability. This is a product that Dremel should invest some time in the design to substantially lengthen its ability to perform in order to justify the price they are asking. I own a number of Dremel tools and many great accessories. I believe these sanding buffs are one of the worst products Dremel produces because of their short operating life. I would suggest Dremel set a target price for this accessoriy at $.50/wheel maximum and try to design and produce the product at a price in that area. Even at the price of $.50 per wheel there will be many who cannot justify buying this product. But if a product like this can be produced and sold for $.50 there will be much more interest generated and sales will be much higher. Since I do not know the cost of producing these wheels, my thoughts on the subject may be close to meaningless. I just hope Dremel will go back to the drawing board and make something like these buff wheels at a price where many could be sold at a reasonable margin.

5Dremel EZ lock Finishing Buffs  Sep 23, 2010 By Digphoto58 "Vet Tech Book Addict"
First, the easy lock system is Dremel's greatest innovation in years! No more searching the floor or bench top for the dropped mandrel screw! I love the abrasive buffs! They clean and polish small items super fast! One suggestion, run them on slow speed or you will use them up quickly!

3Dosen't Last  Mar 18, 2010 By Hobby Carver "hobby carver"
This is pretty much a one time use item. I used to buff out a very small carving and it worked pretty well, but it is totally worn down after 15 minutes of light use

4Great Product!  Apr 20, 2008 By KAT
Works very well for my purposes. It is not as abrasive as the coarse buff and makes the item very shiny. Thank you, I will be using again.

5Great  Mar 12, 2012 By Arrowwalker
I thought this would sand lightly, but instead it polished a high shine. I love it and I will buy more
