Stinky, smelly, slimy and downright sickening. In this seafood special, Mike Rowe examines some of the dirtiest jobs on water. And between the catching and gutting, the freezing temperatures and terrible motion sickness, its no wonder he ends up a little crabby. Vexcon: Mike goes fishing for Maryland blue crabs in the Chesapeake Bay, using chicken necks to catch them. Later, he joins forces with Vexcon Pest Control for an all-out assault on a roach-infested home. Shrimper: After getting a quick down-and-dirty lesson on the fine art of shrimping, Mike goes after his first catch. In his quest for jumbo-sized shrimp, hes amazed by the fascinating creatures he pulls up from the deep. Snake Researcher: After starting his day packing smelly fish into bait boxes, Mike learns to trap and retrieve lobsters. Later, he gets an up-close and dangerous look at efforts underway to protect Lake Erie water snakes. Floating Fish Factory: Braving freezing cold temperatures and treacherous seas, Mike sets sail aboard a fish processing ship. Between bleeding and gutting the catch, the 24-hour stench and intense motion sickness, this one dirty job hed soon like to forget.
