Description
Wrapping headers and down pipes is an important first step in controlling unwanted underhood radiant heat. Keeping exhaust gases hotter within the exhaust system helps in decreasing exhaust density and increases exhaust flow. This improves exhaust scavenging resulting in cooler air intake temperatures for an improvement in performance and a gain in horsepower. Design Engineering stainless steel Locking Ties are the perfect way to fasten exhaust wrap for a easy, clean and professional installation.

"So it goes"
Got this to wrap the exhaust on my Harley. The only two things I can say that I didn't like is that the ends fray VERY easily, and when you wet it, all kindsa metal and crap comes out.
Otherwise, it's very tough, and looks great wrapped on the bike.
Be cautious, the description says fifty feet, but you have to look in the title of the product to see (mine was only fifteen feet). Seems like they cut and pasted the description from the fifty foot one.
Great stuff Apr 10, 2012
By Brett J. Taylor Bought this to finish off a length of exhaust pipe that was too long for my last roll. I had initially purchased the kit that came with a 15' roll of material plus some stainless steel zipties and a can of black silicon spraypaint. I kept the extra stainless zipties and the spraycan, so I was all set to finish the job after buying this extra roll. FYI, it does help to wet this wrap material before you start applying it to your pipes, but the dripping water carries a lot of black pigment with it, and it will make a heck of a mess if you don't lay down some newspapers first. Gotta use the DEI black silicon spraypaint to get the wrap to actually look black afterwards. The finished jobl looks very cool and keeps you from burning your pants legs on hot pipes :)

Black Exhaust Wrap Sep 01, 2011
By Can-Am Man This exhaust wrap is a good quality product and cost less than it would from an auto parts store. If I need more, this is where and what I will buy.
