Description

What is Chai? In many countries, the word simply means "tea." Cafe Escapes has come to know it as black tea blended with comforting spices, including cinnamon, cardamom and clove and a hint of black pepper. Add flavors of sweet milk and honey and the result is a delicious and exotic complement of flavors to sooth your senses, transporting you to distant lands. The Keurig single-cup brewing system uses a special packaging for coffee, tea and hot cocoa called K-Cup portion packs or "K-Cups". Each K-Cup is an airtight, mini-brewer that locks out oxygen, light, moisture and humidity while locking in freshness and flavor. Simply insert the no mess K-Cup into the brewer and hit the brew button for a fresh-brewed, perfect cup of coffee or tea in under a minute.

5Comfort Chai Latte  Dec 17, 2010 By WendynOz
I consider myself a Chai connoisseur. I have been enjoying a Tazo Chai Latte nearly every day since 2001. I am very picky and really only enjoy a limited selection of Chai brands. My favorite is Tazo, especially when prepared by a Starbucks barista without water. I was hesitant to purchase the Cafe Escapes Chai Latte k-cups in fear of it not meeting my high expectations; however, at first sip, I was hooked. Although it has a slightly different taste than Tazo, it has a sweet aroma, full of spice with the perfect amount of creaminess. I look forward to drinking this Chai Latte in the afternoon as a treat or pick-me-up. It is the perfect comfort item for me.

5Great Latte  Jan 10, 2011 By Leslie A. Schrader
I love this chai latte. The only word of caution is that is so addictive. At 70 calories a cup I drink this cautiously. I brew and take the time to sip and really enjoy it or I would be up to many cups a day.

5LOVE it!  Feb 09, 2011 By jacpenny
I'm very picky about chai teas because I don't like them to have too much "spice" in the after taste; basically, I don't like the black pepper too much. But this chai latte has the perfect blend - it's not too much, nor too little. I was addicted from the first sip. And I love that once it's brewed and steaming in my cup, I don't need to add anything to it! This is my favorite thing to brew into my travel mug and take with me on the ride to school in the morning. Just brew and go! Very soothing for sitting in stressful traffic.

2Don't waste your money  Aug 27, 2011 By Science Mom
If you like Chai, don't waste your money on this. I love Tazo, Oregon, & Pacific Chai, but this is watery and just plain nasty. My nephew's a Chai addict, and he dumped his down the sink -- you know it's bad when a 17 year old won't drink it. When made in an 8oz cup, it's basically colored water -- a little better if you only run 6oz of water through your machine. I won't be buying this again.

5YUM!  Aug 09, 2011 By gibsonr87
This taste very similiar to the Chai Latte from Starbucks (not exact, but close enough) and you don't have to pay $4 per cup. It's a winner in my book. Very delicious.
