Bully CR-607 Mar 25, 2011
By BRM I purchased the Bully CR-607 to add addition back-up lighting to my 2011 Toyota Tacoma. It was shipped quickly and came as advertised. After fitting it to the truck I did not like the looks of it so I didn't use it.
What they don't tell you in the advertising, but should:
The light sticks out beyond the receiver nearly 3 inches.
It does not simply plug into the trailer connector; you have to hard wire it into the reverse wiring and a constant 12volt source if you want all functions to work. It does come with a 3 wire quick connect plug so it can be removed easily.
It can only be used when the hitch ball is in the hitch receiver. It has a set screw to hold it in place. I thought I could use a hitch plug to hold it in rather than the leaving the hitch ball in constantly, but the plastic is about 1 inch thick and a plug will not work unless you modify it by adding about a inch to the plug and drilling it out so the hitch pin will hold the plug in place.
In it's defense there is a switch on the unit so you can turn the lights on and use as a work light without putting the vehicle in reverse.
I have given this item only 3 stars not because it will not function, but because personally I did not like it. I have since mounted 2 flood lights under the trailer hitch platform and hard wired them in using a relay and hardwire 12 volt source from the battery.

Should work ok Apr 23, 2010
By TJ I purchased the Bully light; then purchased online a 12V waterproof 5-Pin Relay SPDT 30/40A with Metal Bracket ($2.89), a 12VDC 5-Pin Socket ($1.99), and an inline fuse for the reverse light wire to relay. I'm no auto expert, but I rather run the 5.83A thru my factory trailer package 12V wire than my reverse light wire. Item works great all wired up with the relay.
Light works great; but when backing my boat trailer, light doesn't get around bass boat very well, only to the sides a little since boat is blocking most of the light. If lights were farther apart would be better for me. Now backing an empty boat trailer down the ramp is another story, works great then.

light Jan 19, 2011
By dfgld Decent construction but my main issue is that i dont leave my ball on the truck, and this thing slides onto the reciever. They should have included a dummy reciever plug so you can leave it on the truck without leaving the reciever on.

Easy install and works. Jan 19, 2011
By Lee I added this as a simple low cost addition to my 08 FJ Cruiser to provide an immediate upgrade to the stock reverse lights which barely provide any usable illumination when trying to navigate in reverse. The lights are not spectacularly bright but also don't have that great of a draw in comparison to reverse floods and installation, at least on my ride was alot simpler. It does provide ample light for general tasks at the rear of your ride, particularly for working with a trailer. I move the light between my trailer hitch, and off-road D-Ring hitch. It would have been really nice if the unit was a little more solid being mounted where it may come in contact with the ground as it is made of hard plastic. You would expect the unit to be waterproof as well however it seems to be "water resistant" so, don't back your boat in too far. It uses a single screw to hold itself on the hitch. Haven't had any problems with it, but it would be nice if it did mount up a little more securely. It works as intended. For the ease of installation and price I would say its a good quick option for additional lighting in the back of your ride.

lights up Sep 25, 2011
By R. Brown The Bully ball mount back-up light helps out when backing up at night. I didn't think it seemed that bright at first but once it was totally dark, I seen the light!
