4Extremely good alternative for diabetics  Aug 15, 2008 By J. Morris "photo_jeff"
I'm not diabetic, but my girlfriend has Type I and missed being able to drink margaritas with Mexican food so she tried this mix. I even tried it too just to see how it differed from regular (ie, Cuervo) margarita mix.

Surprisingly, it tastes nearly identical to the regular mix. We added just a splash of triple sec and mixed it just a bit stronger and it tasted just as good as a Cuervo premixed bottle.

Some claim that there's a Splenda aftertaste, but I didn't get any aftertaste whatsoever. Maybe certain tastebuds are more sensitive to that particular sweetener. However, if you're looking for a sugar-free margarita, this is certainly worth giving a try.

5Great Margarita  Aug 04, 2008 By T. Leib "Margarita Connoisseur"
This is the best margarita mix that I have tasted. The others have too much sugar, too sweet and have too many calories. I have them both frozen and on the rocks. Here is a great recipe:

Any Baja Bob Margarita Recipe.

Large Martini Shaker - Fill with Ice

Add 1/4 Shaker - Tequila - See if you can find Cuervo Black (Very Smooth) or Cuervo Gold

Add 1/8 Shaker - Triple Sec

Add Small Amount Grand Mariner

Add - Balance of Baja Bob Any Margarita Mix.

Add Lime Juice (1/2 Lime)

Shake and serve over Crushed or Cubed Ice or Blend into a Frozen Margarita.

Let me know what you think.

5deeeeelicious!  Apr 23, 2010 By Lisa Wilson Comer
My husband is diabetic, and I am conscious about sugar in our diet. Love my margaritas, and this is great! Mix it with 1800 tequila and Stirrings Triple Sec for a knock your socks off drink.

4Pretty Good Stuff  Jan 01, 2010 By S. Crawford
Of COURSE a real margarita is going to be tastier.. just like a coca cola tastes much better than diet. However,my guess is that they type of people that will buy Baja Bob's are diet coke drinkers and who want to have a mixed drink without the spare tire. If you're used to diet drinks, Baja Bob's will hit the spot. It's especially a treat if you've been avoiding margaritas because they're so darn high in sugar. Tequila is 64 calories a shot. Add your 64 calories of tequila to 0 from Bob's and you've got yourself a low calorie drink that's pretty darn good.

One other note: When I ordered the Margarita mix, I got a three pack and gave one bottle to a friend. She's also a habitual dieter and very used to artificial sweetners, but she agrees that it's a good substitute. I will probably end up trying other Baja Bob's cocktail mixes as well..

GREAT STUFF AND IN MY OPINION, THE ONLY WAY TO CONSUME LARGE QUANTITIES OF SUMMERTIME MARGARITAS WITHOUT GAINING 20 LBS.
