I bought 2 of these for my Dachshunds. I have 2 that like to burrow so I figured these would be popular. They Are!

About the bed: It is made of foam with a very soft, low pile plush fabric inside and out. It has a removable pillow for easy cleaning.The bed appears thin but it is made well and nicely finished. The whole thing is machine washable. It is long enough at 22 inches, and roomy enough for my 17 pound Dachshund to stretch out or curl up. He was the first one inside it this morning.

One of my dogs in sleeping in the bed as I am writing this review. I reached inside the bed and the air is toasty warm! The cave like construction keeps the warm air inside, a big plus since we have cold floors and it can get drafty when the furnace kicks on. The only opening is in the front; there are no windows to allow drafts to get in.

They have another size of this bed that is considerably smaller at 14 x 14. If you think you want to get one for your Dachshund or other small dog be certain you order the 22 inch long one.

I just received this bed, it was sent in the original Amarkat company's package marked Model: C11CZS/MH, but the bed sent in no way matched the measurements of 22" x 14 x 14 listed in this item's description.

It was evident as soon as I opened the package that the bed was much smaller than the description states. The bed I received measures 17"long x 13.5"wide x 14" tall. I've posted user pictures of the bed I received with a measuring tape besides it. I don't know if the wrong one was packaged at the factory and sent or the measurements in the item description are wrong. Reading through the reviews, I see no one else has complained about the bed not matching its size description so I think the former might be the case.

I'll give 5 star credit for the wonderful quality and value for the price. The bed is much more of a golden tan color rather than "brown". It's very plush, the tan and cream colors are decor friendly, the cushion is reversible between cream and tan and removable for washing. The tag states the whole bed is machine-washable in cold water and to tumble dry on low.

Unfortunately, one cat is a "sprawler" rather than a "ball" sleeper and the other is a big cat so we need the length. I'll give it to a friend who has a kitten and a smaller cat and hopefully she'll make use of it. Returning things is too much of a hassle and otherwise it's a very nice bed. I would love to have this bed in the 22" length described.

I HAVE 3 CATS AND A SMALL DOG THE SIZE OF ONE OF MY CATS. SO, I KNEW SOMEONE (HOPING)WOULD LIKE IT. TO MY SURPRISE
I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I OPENED THE BOX. IT WAS SO SOFT AND CONFY WITH A NICE SOFT THICK PILLOW IN BOTTOM(NO CHEAPPY PILLOW) THAT FIT THE WHOLE BOTTOM. I WISHED IT CAME IN MY SIZE L.O.L.. MY 1 CAT LOVES IT. SHE NEVER WANTS TO COME OUT. I DONTS BLAME HER. I RECOMMEND TO ALL WHO SPOIL....LIL'L BABIES. I LOVE ANIMALS.

When this bed first arrived, I found myself thinking just how pretty it is. It helps, of course, that it matches my cat's coloring (and his coloring matches my furnishings, not by accident, either).

But when I first set up the bed, he wanted nothing to do with it. I moved the bed from room to room, I put his treats and toys in it, but he'd just poke his head in the thing to retrieve them then go back to sprawling on MY bed. Considering he's a 14 pound behemoth who both snores and has a flatulence problem (and, yes, I feed him a high-quality, no-filler cat food), I've been absolutely miserable having him take up more and more space on my bed.

Yesterday while I vacuumed, I tossed his cat bed to one side of the living room. It happened to have landed near (but not on) a heating vent. Four hours later, I couldn't find my cat. When I finally located him, he'd curled up in this bed. I've hardly seen him since, including last night when I was in my own bed bracing for his eventual (heavy) pounce and eventual (gassy) sprawl. It never happened. He's snug and cozy in this bed, which means that for the first time in our four years together I am finally snug and cozy in MINE. (And breathing much better now that I don't have cat hair and cat farts flying around me!)

Two very nice things about this bed, aside from how pretty it is: the inner pillow is easily removed and looks sturdy enough for washing, though I'll probably stick with vacuuming and/or wiping it off to begin with. (A tip: put a rubber dish glove on your hand and wipe it down; the cat hair will stick to the glove and leave the pillow fur-free. Probably a good idea to run the same glove-covered hand around the inside of the thing.) Also, since the pillow is removable, this bed really CAN hold a bigger (though not longer) cat if needed.

Warm and Cozy - A big hit! Jun 20, 2010 By CatCat
I adopted two cats from a shelter recently and noticed that one of them, Boo, likes to sleep "covered". So I thought this would be perfect for her. And to my surprise, it was a big hit with my other cat Bebe. Bebe's slept in it every night since it's arrived. So now I'm saving up to buy another for Boo.

The product is as it says it is. The product is well made, the pillow inside is soft and "fluffy". When I insert my hand in to pet Bebe, it feels warm and cozy. Not a wonder why she loves it.

Its a great little bed.
