Greedy Adobe Aug 07, 2010
By JEMc Turns out I'm late to this party. This upgrade will not work with a Creative Suite Serial Number even though your Suite contains a "Complete" and "numbered" version of Photoshop CSx. It says that deep in the fine print, but why would you continue reading after you see EXACTLY your version is upgradable. Complaints abound, even on Adobe site. 5-Stars to Amazon for prompt refund.

PRETTY GOOD BUT.... May 20, 2010
By Scorpius
"RVB"
this is much the same as CS4 but with a few new features, but one thing you should know is that most plug-ins currently only work in 32bit,therefore you must start it in 32bit(double click on the PS icon in finder and "get info",then tick the box "open in 32bit").The problem here is that PS CS5 can only access 2gb ram max, unlike 32bit CS4 which can access 4gb ram,so perhaps it would be wise to hold on to your cs4 until all the plug-ins are re-written as 64bit,most will be available in the next 3 months.apart from this its a nice upgrade!

not worth it Aug 30, 2010
By telee01 Been using Photoshop CS4 on a MAC for sometime and works like a champ. Upgraded to CS5 hoping to reap the benefits of the new release only to end up sending it back. Consistently crashed while editing images - crashed randomly, however consistently crashed. Adobe must have 50 plus crash reports from me in a little over a week of use. Not only that, when flipping images in CS5 Bridge so they would display correctly when being edited, these correction did not carry over to Photoshop CS5 as they do in CS4. Net, net, could not work with the product due to the number of application crashes - you can just loose you work only so many times. Reverted back to the old version of Photoshop (CS4) and have had no issues since. Photoshop CS5 is the ONLY app that crashes on my MAC Pro running Snow Leopard. / Never heard anything back from Adobe (part of the reason I thought they wanted you email address in crash reports), nor have seen a mention on same problem in a post.

A big step backwards.......... Jun 20, 2010
By B. Wilson As a very experienced retoucher and printer working on a new Mac with advanced graphics cards, CS5 has turned out to be nothing but problematic. First, and foremost, Adobe forgot to make it compatible with most printer drivers. When I try to print an image in CS5, almost all my printing options are unavailable. This was never an issue in CS2, CS3, or CS4. Check the online forums - I'm not the only one with this difficulty. I have to open images in CS4 now to make a print. In addition, I see no speed improvements at all over CS4. This update from Adobe is definitely an over-hyped "work-in-progress" and lacks basic functionality on many levels. Avoid it until Adobe announces some major improvements.

many items are not going to work! May 23, 2010
By ARTHUR SCHMELKE Received my copy of CS5 from Amazon, installed and then found out all my filter plug-ins don't work on this 64 bit cs5,and are not going to work till you upgrade! Also my twain device, doesn't show up,so see-ya $300 Canon scanner, same with my Canon print-pro plug-in, so easy printing is gone. You would think adobe would have a warning somewhere, but you will find out after they cash your check.......
