5Solid mouse pad & soft wrist rest  Feb 03, 2009 By Denise A.
I got one of these I could use for mousing while using my laptop on the couch. I have CTS & tendonitis, so the touchpad doesn't work well for me for long periods. The fact this is a solid unit is what sold me. It is very sturdy. I can set it on the couch arm and mouse, or on my leg, or anywhere I can reach... I can bridge it between my leg and the couch arm... sometimes I use the cushion, which is NOT "plastic" as the other review says. OK, it may technically be plastic of some kind, but it's soft and pliable. Leatherette means it feels a lot like leather. But this holds up a lot better than leather because it can resist oils from your skin, where leather absorbs it. Easy to clean, too, should the need arise. It comes w/rubber "feet" in 2 sizes that you can choose to stick on the bottom, or not... in case you want to invert the pad - or have it at a different angle than the keyboard. Like, at work I have an adjustable keyboard/mouse tray, sloping downward for better wrist position. But I don't want the mouse sliding forward all the time, so the feet will help keep it more level. Brilliant design. The ONLY way this product could be improved is if the "feet" were permanently attached and hinged so I could choose between using them and tucking them away for travel or if I change my keyboard tray angle.

3Lots of nice features but not the most comfortable  May 10, 2011 By Sheri Fogarty
This replaces an old gel wrist pad mouse that was falling apart. The 3M mouse pad has a lot of new features that I've not seen before.

For one thing it tilts and depending on the size of the legs you add on you can control how much. It keeps your wrist nice and straight and seems to help with the wrist discomfort we can get from too much clicking.

It's also antimicrobial, which would be especially nice for use with a shared mouse. It has a 'precise mousing surface', a micro-grooved surface that is supposed to extend the battery life of your wireless mouse by up to 75%.

You have to glue on the feet for the height you want, and it seems like once they're glued you can't switch to the other ones. The gel pad is also very firm, much more firm then my previous mouse pad.

It looks nice and tracks really well but it's not the most comfortable mouse pad I've used...

4Solid ergonomic mousepad  Apr 28, 2011 By Christina Paul "Live like you MEAN it!!"
I recieved this mousepad at the perfect time. I had just taken a spill earlier in the day on a wet pavement and landed on the heel of my mouse hand. Though nothing was broken, not only typing, but mouseclicking was really painful. The pad arrived on that day and I found it really comfortable to use. With all of the mouse work that I do for film editing, it's nice to have something that is not only a great surface for my mouse but has comfort and looks like it will be around for a very long time. The wrist rest is just a little too wide at the center for my preference, but then that' just me. I do recommend it as an alternative to help reduce repeat stress injury (aka, carpal tunnel syndrome) etc.

5Durable desktop mouse station will full customization.  May 19, 2011 By M. Agostino "4for3.info"
Upon arrival, you will notice that this is one serious mouse pad. The fact that there are parts and pieces to put together may be a bit annoying to hear, but it comes to you this way for complete personalized comfort.

You may choose to have it lay flat, which is completely fine with a non-skid bottom, but you will most likely opt to add a set of legs that come in different heights. These are rubber feet that have a peel and stick surface to attach to the bottom. Do not stick on yet until you find the right height for you. Simply place the rubber pieces under it and after trying your options, then peel to expose the adhesive feet. Once you attach, they're not going anywhere! Very sturdy.

The unit base is firm plastic, and the gel wrist pad is also something you attach with adhesive strips. Once again, choose placement along the bottom for your comfort. These strips are a very interesting version of velcro that almost snap in place. However, you may remove and reposition the pad at anytime. This feature also makes it easy to clean if every necessary. The gel pad is a durable vinyl and detracts oils and dirt very effectively. A simple wipe with a paper towel with a spray may be all you need at some point.

The mouse plate surface is unique with a lenticular look and feel. There are slightly visible waved lines and the surface is smooth but with a slight texture. 3M calls this the "Precise Mousing Surface" and it is aptly named. I have tried with several mouse types and all respond their best on this pad.

This thing is durable, stable and will definitely last a long time. It's rather large and intended for desktop use, and not very portable. But well worth the upgrade from a normal mouse pad for your home or work desk. Keep in mind that this is truly a personalized mouse pad, therefore little hands, or others in the home may not like the way you put it together. If so, tell them to get their own! And if you're using it at work, everyone will want one.

4very comfortable  May 10, 2012 By Jenn
I always love the gel support pads for wrists so I was very content to find this mouse pad with built in gel support. My experience unfortunately was that the glue of the mouse pad kept weakening and now the gel pad is completely separate from the pad itself. As easy fix however, just needs an extra trip to the local craft or hardware store for stronger glue. The tilt features are custom made. It included rubber foot pegs that you can put on the pad underneath to choose your angle. Those have not fallen off in the six or so months that I have been using the mouse pad. overall, I love it. It allows the wrist to get the support it needs and is makes a very comfortable computer session.
